Sheryl Crow’s cover of “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns and Roses (How Dare She! Really bad decision)

And there are times when pop stars cover Rock tunes very well like

In the process of looking up the video for the 1981 video of Fade to Grey by Visage (haha - to post on 70K alum Walliewallie's fb wall....I discovered that Atrocity covered it which led me finding out that Atrocity (featuring Liv Kristine) did not only one, but two albums devoted to covering 80s dance/club hits!

How did I not know this before??? Anyway...I think I need to buy these asap!

I've only listened to three so far...their covers of Tears for Fears' Shout, Visage's Fade to Gray, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax....hard to beat any of the originals of course - but I really like Atrocity's take on all of them. In this case, I put the original videos as well, since they are all so great (and do watch if you haven't seen them - especially Relax!

is it just me or are there a lot of fantastic Thin Lizzy covers? I for one don't really like Thin Lizzy, but the song quality comes to light through the cover versions

There seems to be a plethora of ABBA metal covers. My personal favorite is Helloween's, but Therion's is a close second.
