Really excited about the new Van Canto, Magnum and W.T. albums.

Apprehensive about Edguy though - last couple of albums have been fairly sub-standard.

Sonata better not make another rock album. I know a lot of people liked it but I really hated SGHN save a couple songs.

Yeah, if it were just some band that released that album I just wouldn't have paid any mind to it but Sonata Arctica is kinda special to me because they are the band that really got me into the metal community. So, I have high expectations of them.

I don't think Sonata have made a good album in ten years. Reckoning Night was great... everything else since has only had a couple good songs.

Oh, our new album is being pushed to 2014

Unia was good and Days Of Grays had a few good songs, it was better than Stones I thought. I know we talked about this but I went back and listened to it and I still really enjoy at least half of that album, 7 or 8 songs. Stones had 4 good songs on it.

Speaking of Devin Townsend. I was a huge fan of SYL but never really tried to get into his other projects. Where's a good start. I plan to get Ziltoid because of the shear ridiculousness of it

Yeah Ziltoid is probably the best starting point for his solo stuff, then go for Epicloud, his newest. It's gone over pretty well with fans. Then I guess start with Ocean Machine and go forward. Make sure you listen to whole albums, because every album is kindof an idea in it's own and some albums as a whole are very unique.

To be honest/fair, it's the only DT album I've ever really spent a great deal of time with enjoying and learning riffs from so my statement has to be taken with a grain of salt or two.

agree Rekoning Night is a great album, all the followers were like 3 or 4 good songs

Just announced, Sonata's new album will come out in April. Supposedly it's going to sound like old Sonata Arctica, but they said that about the last album. I hope it's good.
