We usually get to Paris by 11 and if they don't fuck up in Copenhagen we will be in Clisson by 5pm (not that it actually takes that long to drive, but there will be some stops on the way....)
There is a big bar at the camping that alot of people use as a pre party, so if you wanna stay and hang out after getting your wristbands that would be the place.

Or you are always welcome to some really crappy beer where we have our camping area.... (France is almost worse than USA when it comes to beer..... )

Do you know what time they do the wristbands until on Thursday ? We plan to have dinner somewhere in Clisson but would love to say hello. I cannot drink crappy beer so I will drink wine. France has good wine.

That sounds great. Looking forward to see you guys again. :D

so you're going too Craig!? cool, we haven't seen each other since the first 70K! what flight/time are you taking Amsterdam-Nantes? We may be on the same flight, and if that is the case you are free to join me and my Kid in our rental car for the drive to Clisson.

Yeah :D, my girlfriend and I bought our Hellfest tickets last month. We haven't booked the flight yet, because we got a couple of choices. If we fly from Billund to Amsterdam the flight to Nantes is at 20:30 PM and lands at 22:00. If we fly from Copenhagen to Paris we can be in Nantes at 11:20 AM, 4:30 PM or 6:10 PM.

you must have seen some bad places in USA beer wise, I've had wonderful amazing beers and places to have them in the states.

I had some really good beer in the states as well. Especially on the brew bus tour :) Some bars have a good selection but the stores leave me wanting more (except for some liquor stores)

What I meant was more what you can buy in a store to bring to the festival. Most supermarkets in France only have stuff I don't want and rarely in a can (practical when camping...)
We got some really wierd beers at Lidl last year, and some even more horrible cheep sparkling wine (for breakfast.... don't ask, it's just a stupid tradition from SRF).
With that said, there is no problem at all getting round under your feet anyways ;)

We got to the festival in the middle of the night, might even have been around 2 in the morning..... We got our wristbands when we got there so there shouldn't be a problem.
(Luggage got lost in Copenhagen so we had to wait in Paris for the evening flight to get to Paris with our bags)

Don't remember seeing you on the boat?

Yes, that's the plan. Was on the quiz on sunday (OKEJ-quiz) so I looked for you there. It was a fun but alot different kind of quiz ;)

I did see you on the boat a couple of times but mostly just passing, we were heading in different directions. I always thaught there would be a better time to say hi, but suddenly the spekers told me to leave the boat... :)

Just remembered that parking is a bitch at Hellfest. You have to walk really far if you are unlucky. If you are staying at the camping, try to get as close to the entrance as possible to just throw out your friends and all the luggage and after that park the car. If you are lucky you will be able to get to the entrance by car, not always possible because they have roadblocks. If you are lucky you find a spot by the road to the parking area. If you are unlucky you will get your spot in a field and hope that it doesn't rain because getting the car out of that is not always a nice experience.
It's not fun to drag all your things all the way from the parking area to the camping area and you probably have to do that trip two times if you got the beer in your car, so try to sneak close to the entrance even if you have to park elsewhere later.

There is an area close by where there are supermarkets, gas station and a mc donalds (if I remember correctly). Those parkingplaces are often full but you could always try. Then it's not that far to the camping and festival area.

For you guys staying at a hotel and plan to go by car every day back and forward.... good luck ;)

Emma, how far would you say the farthest parking places (for us hotel pussies) are away from the entrance? Are we talking 1Km or something crazy like 3 or 4?

It all depends on where you find a place to park. If you park at the supermarket and go to the camping and to the festival area I would guess it will take u 10 min. The real parking 15-20 maybe... Im really not sure since I've done those tripd packed to the teeth with luggage and beer and it always feel like it's never gonna end!! If you find a place on the road between the festival area and festival area, take it! ;)

Last year we stopped right by the entrance and jumped out with everything so the driver could park it alone. But we still had to carry it all when leaving... ( my friend forgott the tent in the car and had to go back for it in the middle of the night, he was a verry unhappy camper ;) )

We will stop to buy camping gear, beer and snacks on the way.

Offcourse u can! But u will have alot of airport time. I land at 11 and the guys (that I don't really know either) arrive at 12.

We all split the cost for the rentalcar, disel and roadtolls in 4 equal parts.

The drive takes longer than google maps say since traffic in Paris can be horrible but after that it's really good roads and not so much traffic. But it's nice to listen to music and chat away :)

I can hold a spot for u if you like

There are 3 friends from Gothenburg but they will make a roadtrip out of Hellfest and I can't take that much time off work.
2 boys joined our old facebook group with questions so now they are joining me in the car. But we are all just one happy metal family, right!?

Well, Eric had to cancel the trip with me. his Mother is not well. At least he did not purchase his airfare. Unlike I did. Waiting for Delta to get back to me to see if i can cancel or get credit for my airfare.
