    Nice find man!!

Just curious... Why are you keeping 2 copies of that Nirvana disk and not adding one of them to the 'sell' list?
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

LOL. The keeper list includes cds that I already owned. Im selling some of those back to, but didnt bother to separately list them. Will probably keep some duplicaes for my car.

Im out of control on the cd purchases. Just found another cheap Craiglist ad, though not as good as the 200+ cds for $100 one. It was $2 a cd and I bought 33 (including 2 Sabbath cds I already had to keep in the car). I would have probably bought another 20-30 more, (he was selling like 500 of them, and I liked a ton of them) if I had not bought the other mega purchase.

    Sabbath - 2cds
Megadeth - 1 cd (original release of Killing Is My Business, I had the re-issue but like the cover on this one better)
Iron Maiden 2 cds (2 non Bruce CDs, these are with Blaze on vox, never wanted em but for $2 each, why not)
Ozzy - 1 cd-Ultimate Sin (had never bought this one for some reason)
Kinks - 11 cds (hit the motherlode here, only had their greatest hits before this purchase)
    Bowie - 4 cds
    T.Rex - 4 cds
    Elton John - 4 cds
    CCR - Bayou Country
Jefferson Airplane - After Bathing At Baxters
    New York Dolls - st
    Coverdale/Page -st

I also received a $25 Amazon gift certificate and I got 4 cds for $28, so it only cost me $3 out of pocket. Got first two solos by David Lee Roth and John Lennon's Imagine & Jefferson Airplane - Volunteers.

Oops, wrong shitty replacement singer. Blaze, The Ripper, and Gary Cherone are all probably off in a basement doing karaoke somewhere or playing rock band.

Fuck! that is a killer haul for $100, will fetch a good profit if you sell them off piece-meal on Ebay or Amazon.... :heavydrink:

Fronting Maiden, Blaze was bigtime Fail, but those were tough shoes for anyone to fill and it was pretty much a no win position. Outside of Brian Johnson from AC/DC Im having trouble remembering any replacement singer that took over for a long time icon and was accepted by the fans. (And I consider Sammy Hagar a bigtime fail in Van Halen too).

DIO, wasn't accepted much by initial fans when he took over Ozzy's spot in Sabbath. The debate still goes on to which is considered better. but It wasn't a fail either though

I never cared for the Dio fronted Sabbath myself, thought hey were kind of boring. But good call, I didnt think of this one. A lot of fans actually liked the Dio Sabbathbetter, though I am not among them. I liked Dio much better in Rainbow than in Sabbath.

this is a tough call for me as I enjoyed both ...

well we could step that up to DIO being replaced in Rainbow by Joe Lynn Turner or was it Graham Bonnet first either way (again not a fail, but not as good as DIO was)

Rainbow sucked after Dio left (though I did like the song All Night Long which was kind of catchy). Blackmore was headed in a more pop direction at that time so it would have probably been have doomed even if Dio had stayed too.

I was flat out bored seeing Dio/Sabbath aka GHeaven and Hell multiple times. Ozzy lended a lot more to the song writing process then he was given credit for. He added the melody/cadence (which Cliff did a lot of in Metallica too and was also sorely missed) and the songs just werent as catchy without him. They sounded almost a tad prog without him.

I'm on the pro-DioSabbath side of things but it's a debate that's raged long without ever really being resolved. Perhaps a poll just to see where 70K forum fiends stand on the issue.

I can't think of many bands who've had 'long time icons' replaced so having trouble coming up with another example. Outside of metal, I'd say that Blind Melon and Alice in Chains both found decent replacements who ended up doing okay. Too bad for the guys in Blind Melon though that the replacement ended up having personal issues similar to those of their previous guy so he only lasted one album and tour.

Downloaded them for about $11 on Amazon (some download sale). The Enslaved album is fucking awesome.

I enjoy it. While it is good, DT have a knack for writing an album full of songs that are very alike, making the album seem like one long song. They didn't do that so much on this album.

    Last purchases:

    Finntroll - Nifelvind
Eluveitie - Everything Remains As It Never Was (Meant to get this one before now, but it was just at a ridiculous price being an import and all. So I waited and got 20% off!)

Good buys. The EPs are what got me into Nachtmystium though if you are willing to take a chance on em'. "Worldfall" and "Eulogy IV" are excellent. I really like the "Rose Clouds of Holocaust" DIJ cover on Worldfall too. Although nothing beats the original. Can't go wrong with Agalloch.

"Sworn To the Darkness" is a great album. I enjoy it a lot more than the hyped" Lawless Darkness". Though "dead but dreaming" was a take on Fields of Nephilim version I think. Melechesh are a great band too, wish they made the cruise. If you dont have "Emissaries" snag it. Hell just for the song "Rebirth of the Nemesis". Good taste man. Our CD collection would be a replica, haha. :heavydrink:

Got a couple of cruise band CDs.

    Sabaton - Coat of Arms
Rage - From the Cradle to the Stage (Live)

Wanted to get a live Rage album because I think they sound better in concert. They were awesome on the cruise. Saw them at Wacken '09 and they were great there too. Hansi joined them! I was really hoping for him to pop on stage during the cruise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVrvswH0KKs

I'm just about to order a few of the older Alice Cooper albums
I have quite a few and I own "the box" with all the highlights from every album...but there are some great songs missing -> let's complete the collection
(those albums cost about $10 each - there once was a time when you had to bleed almost $30 for an album)

btw, listening to Magnum - Wild Angels
    sounds good!
    wishlist '25:
    Axxis - Doro - Edguy - Frozen Crown - Gatekeeper - Satan - Seven Sisters - Shadowpath - Silex - Skyclad - Steel Attack - Viathyn - Voyager - Wuthering Heights - 4th Dimension
