Sooooo, that being said. Are we all up for the hat-trick challenge in this ever so shortened season. Assuming it's still on?
Life would be tragic if it weren't funny.

Damn. With the way the schedule was set up, we are not going to make it to anywhere near as many Coyotes games as we had hoped.

yes, you should have made him stay home! :heavydrink: not serious though and is supposed to be back in 3 weeks :shred:

I think in an interview before he went to Sweden he said there's nothing in the world that can stop him from teaming up with his brother. He also tried to bring Crosby to the same team since they share manager but club said they don't any more money for insurances.

Anyone remembers who won the hattrick challenge last season? I know I was on top at the end of regular season, can't remember if I also won in play-offs.

Also, I know it's still A LOT of time till 70k 2014 and there's still 70k 2013 cruise in between but since I'm not attending this year (money for 2014 already safely put aside) remind me next year to buy some celebratory drinks for regular season beatings you received

The Flyers are playing in Florida on Jan 26. I thought that they played at the American Airline Arena( where the Het play--in the Port)
BUT, they play WAY out in the boonies

Also, they are offering $169 Season Tickets for the rest of the year--includes a jersey, free parking and some food.

Whaaaat?! In Montreal, season tickets are impossible to buy since 2004, and there's over 2 000 people on the waiting list. Season passes are a little under 6 000$. 169$ is the price of a game with relatively good seats at the Bell Centre... I guess hockey's not the same everywhere!

I kind of like the NHL apology tour. They are giving away free tickets to students here. Evidently some pretty sweet deals to the season ticket holders, and some good promotions.

I like the idea of having Roy, Jagr and Whitney, but I really don't expect any entertainment value until the playoffs. I don't mean the Stars. I mean for anyone. It's going to be a mess initially.

I was in Dallas 2 years ago at a conference, hanging around the hotal bar, and scored 4 free tickets to a Stars game. Platinum clubs seats ($215) so me, 2 guys from Calgary and one from Saskatoon head to game.... maybe 8000 people there(The Stars HAD to win the game to get ino the playoffs)
Some other guys paid $15 for scalper tix. Beautiful rink and super friendly fans... but the place was empty/

NOt sure what Oiler season tix are.. don't care... not a fan

I wasn't too happy about that either. I can give you a ton of reasons, but let's just chalk it up to the fact that even though Dallas has had winning seasons every year, they don't make the playoffs.

From those magicians? Surely you jest. These guys are professionals. They know how to handle an unexpected, brilliant backhanded loft from a player they've never been on the ice with. No problem.

I kind of expect a lot of (Jagr, Whitney) is great, but he sucks... comments from ignorant fans. (Not because they suck, but because no one else on the team sees what they see.)

Apparently Phoenix is one of only five NHL teams that are offering absolutely ZERO incentives to fans to return to the rink this weekend in terms of discounts/promotions/etc.

I can understand LA as they hold the cup and then NY, Philly and I forget the other one are in major markets but I thought Phoenix was still trying to win folks over down there.

Canucks are offering all kinds of crap for the first 3 games like 50% of all merchandise, all basic concessions like pop, popcorn, hot dogs and the like for $1 and a whole bunch of contests with prizes upwards of $100,000.00 to be won each night.

    What say you Tusconians!!!! ;)
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

I can understand LA as they hold the cup and then NY, Philly and I forget the other one are in major markets but I thought Phoenix was still trying to win folks over down there.

Phoenix is still owned by the NHL, remember that. We don't officially have an owner to put a little more effort into the whole thing. Also, the ticket reps were offering a free upgrade to lower bowl tickets for STH, so that's at least something.

Here' what the Bruins are offering: http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/bruins/post/_/id/10482/bruins-annouces-fan-promotions-discounts

Jacobs should include beers in the 3 concession items.

Yup. The Jamison group may have some ideas in mind but they cannot do anything yet.

Whitney definitely does not suck. I want him back!

    Good.

Now lets hope we finally have the ownership situation settled and see what Jamison can do. I did hear sales for the home opener are really good and almost all the games will be broadcast locally and there has been a lot of advertising for them. *fingers crossed*.

I know there is a general consensus that we "hate" Red Wings but I'll be keeping a close eye on them this short season. Another countryman plays for them and it's his last season of contract. He didn't get much chance in the last two years, mostly due to injuries. He played for the local club during lock out in an extended Austrian league (I think there were around 20 NHL players combined in the league) and was a top scorer with 19 goals and 28 assists in 30 games. He even paid all the insurances and had no paycheck.
