Hey Digi, I guess you we're the one I (and my buddy) shared a flight and a cab with last time.
Best ones...as Tim said. Freshly made at the streetmarket! And the only brand I actually know are the Kanjers.

i gues we could bring some along. as long as you report it to the customs...
i'll check in to this tomorrow at work.

That would be great Tim. I always get confused with what I'm allowed to or not. And when it is allowed do I have to report it or not..
So I usually tend to go on the safe side as I don't want to miss the boat. ;)

Haha, yeah, that was fun. Met a lot of Dutchies on different planes, on the boat, at my hotel etc! Was pretty cool!

I like the ones from the Aldi actually. Those are nice and sweet!

Did you have any from the street vendors or pastry shps, freshly made? They always look HUGE in size, compared to the ones in bags/tins. Might go to Europe just for that.

Unfortunately not. I was only in Amsterdam for a day, and then a few hours for the flight out. Didn't see any street vendors, and sadly didn't see anything else in Holland, either. Next time will be different :D. After seeing that video you posted I definitely want to get a freshly made one

Any of our Canuck members know what our local version of World Market would be called? I'm finding it difficult to deny the power of the stroopwafel wave :? They must be quite good
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

Superstore, Rob. Turns out the don't have the lingonberry jam anymore (I guess one person in Saskatchewan buying a jar every 6 months wasn't enough to continue carrying it), but they do have packs of stroopwafels. There's sort of a foreign sweets section at the end of the aisle with the rest of the cookies at the store here, and among them is the almighty stroopwafel. :D

If they don't out there in B.C. let me know and I'll send you some.

Sadly, they had none but I bought some other yummy stuff including a huge bag of frozen blueberries for fairly cheap. :givebeer: (beer=smoothies)

A moment's google work led to this: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/678231 so hopefully I can track some down soon
