quite the metal pic! Maiden \m/Nicko's got a ribb joint about 10 miles away from where I live. Everyone should check it out, since you all will be in FL as it is!

Well, either way, on the cruise, you will have 5 days worth of a chance to get lots more metal photos! You cant say you don't have any after the cruise lol

Aaaahh....I remember my 25th birthday well. A few of my friends and I were turning 25 around the same time, so we had one big party we called "The Silver Ball"

Funny thing is, I wasn't listening to much metal then - mostly punk and new wave. (I need a smilie with a mohawk!)

Nice picture of you in the Maiden jacket, Kisha! I saw Maiden for the first time last Thursday night at Wacken and they were awesome!

'Ya know folks, youngins and oldsters alike here....look at all the awesome performers across all musical genres who are "up in years" shall we say. I've been thinking about that quite a bit in fact lately.....people like Tom Araya (49), Lemmy (64), Bruce Dickinson (52), Alice Cooper (62), Geddy Lee (57), Neil Peart (57), Phil Mogg from UFO (62), Biff Byford of Saxon (59), Doro (46), Uli Jon Roth (55), and so many more. All these people truly inspire me for doing what they love all these years

of course everyone wanted to take their picture including me

this is a classic Wacken scene - people crashed during some super loud gig!
I'm not making fun, believe me - I took a nice snooze between Overkill and Delain....

I met these guys from northern Italy on the train from Hamburg to Itzehoe on August 3 and then
ran into them three or four times during the next several days in that crowd of 80,000!
We laughed that we were stalking each other

I told them all about the cruise and that they should go for it!! (more the merrier I say

)

Hey, Deb – you HAVE to go to Wacken some year – that’s what a guy told a friend and I insistently at an Amon Amarth gig in the fall of 2008 and we proceeded to immediately make our plans for 2009 (obviously he was very convincing!) Now, you’ve got kids too, right? Well, here’s my story (and I’m stickin’ to it!

This mother hen decided that starting last year she wanted to go on a vacation sans rooster and brood at least once a year. Hen thinks this is a most excellent idea! Actually, rooster and brood are cool with it too since they got to do their own thing – let’s see, this year, rooster golfed to his heart’s content and the chicks went to an awesome summer camp where they went swimming, horseback riding, waterskiing, crafts, etc.; meanwhile, hen did this and this at Wacken, as well as lots of sightseeing in Oslo the week before. So, mother hen’s 2011 trip is the metal cruise and rooster and chicks will most likely go out west skiing (hen sucks at skiing!)

The 2012 adventure is up for grabs at the moment but never too far away to start thinking about – Deb, how ‘bout going to Metalcamp (Slovenia) or Hole in the Sky (Bergen, Norway) – I think we’d have an awesome time! – Laura (tw)

Wow!....First of all....he hee love the way you told your story!.....I would LOVE to do this....I had really planned on going to Europe when FORBIDDEN played another festival...but hadnt really set anything in stone yet......I will browse this idea....and we shall talk on the cruise....I can def see myself meeting up withya and enjoying one of thses festivals......yep....I can see it now!....until then....keep us intrigued with the stories! It's weird cause I haven't met you in person yet, but you seem uncannily like a great friend of mine from high school (who sadly I don't see much cause she's got her hands full with a job, massive house in the far flung suburbs AND 4 kids!)

Oh I am sure it will happen my dear....when I make up my mind to do somthing.....it happens! So I am definately looking forward to the ride!!...I am a great traveler...done it all my life....(Army Brat)

By the way although Wacken claim they sell only 80,000 tickets there is always a lot more people than that.
Think it's around the 110,000 figure

Ya damn right its a PRS!!! It's there low end SE models. But you know what, its a fantastic machine for the price. This is one of the first models ever released too.

This is a funny Norwegian guy (on the left with the goofy glasses) who I ran into three times - this is after midnight - forget what night it was right now...the really weird thing is that he knew the Italian guys I kept running into

- anyway...the picture is appropriately blurry and I'm like totally laughing at that point within that alternate universe that is Wacken
