i don't blame genetics, and i exercise a lot. quite simply, i tend to have difficulty putting down the fork!
I have already lost 7 pounds since Maryland death fest last month and here's to hoping i can shed a few more before i go visit friends and family back in Cleveland starting July 1st...i'm not bitching about the weight loss but i am bitching about the strictness of the diet necessary to obtain such results. sick of rabbit food...2 more weeks...and of course i'll have to diet before the cruise. i really have no idea how to apply moderation to food when there is SOOO MUCH AWESOME FOOD in the world! i can apply it to drinking, work, shopping, etc, but it all goes out the window when it's yummy stuff.
Yes, I highly believe this is my main issue, aside from working in front of a computer all day.
Even down to the cheese enchiladas. I was doing some exercise yesterday and it was nice. I really wish there were just a few more non-work hours in the day so that I could ge more activity in as well as much needed relaxation, sleep and food prearation time. Let me know if you find any tips that are especially helpful.
I know it helped me to keep a small journal of what I was eating each day (including beverages, was also monitoring the water intake), as well as keeping lots of various smaller snacks around. I also had been packing my lunches in bento boxes, which made it fun to prepare and eat, and also helped me get used to eating smaller portions. After a couple of weeks I just didn't need so much to feel so "full." Bentos also encourage lots of creativity and colorful food items, so it helped me to work in extra fruits, veggies and other nutritious things that I maybe otherwise wouldn't have eaten, but did because I wanted a certain shape/color/texture with my boxed lunch. :)
