    NFL 2013/2014 season

    by Feanorgandalf » Tue Sep 24, 2013 8:11 am

Might as well get a thread going for this year and I'll start it off by saying where did this Payton Manning come from. I'm normally not a broncos fan but I'm at the point where I need to see each game to see what this guy is pulling off on a weekly basis

Aw shit! I forgot to set up the pick em group this season. Oh well. Place is a dead zone so I don't think we'd get too many people joining anyway.

I thought Manning was done after all of his neck surgeries but the guy just keeps on going. Gotta see how he plays in weather though as the season moves on. Wouldn't be a shock to see a Denver/Seattle Super Bowl. Surprised at how poorly the 49ers and Giants are playing. Miami looks really good but they tend to fade once they have to start making trips to cold weather sites.

Patriots are 3-0 but have looked downright terrible at times. Thankfully they've had a creampuff schedule so far. Now they get tested with games against Atlanta, Cincinnati and New Orleans. Yikes.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed a TMZ report that wide receiver Jacoby Jones, who is rehabbing from a knee injury, was involved in a brawl on a party bus early Monday morning and was hurt when he was hit over the head by a stripper wielding a champagne bottle.

Well I thought Tavon Austin would be NFC Rookie of the Year. That's not panning out so well.
I picked Dallas to win the NFC East. Philly is looking like they may be competition, but I didn't think the Giants would be 0-3 and they are in shambles.
I'm already tired of hearing about Manning Schmanning. If you want to crown him, then crown him.
Baltimore is looking good, if they can avoid champagne bottles.
    Go Lions.

It's still early but Denver really looks unstoppable. Peyton may push for Brady's TD record. Happy with the Pats win last night. They almost blew it but that was the first test for the defense against a real offense and they did well. Encouraging signs on offense too. Losing Vince Wilfork for the season is a huge loss though.

Critical game for Detroit this weekend in Green Bay. A win for Detroit would be HUGE!

Fuck Pete Carroll. Runs a crooked program at USC and gets out just before the "hammer" hits. Also, he sucked hard as the Patriots coach.

Fuck Richard Sherman. Cheating piece of shit gets away with it then starts running his mouth like crazy. He's just an unlikable person.

More Pete Carroll hate please.

Funny how Buffalo and Cleveland knocked each other's QBs out. Hoyer done for the year and Manuel out 4-6 weeks.

Jaguars to have #1 pick next year? Where's Timmy T.?

Fuck. Pats couldn't do shit today against the Bengals defense. They need Gronk back so badly. FIgures Brady would lose his TD streak the week before he had the chance to tie the record against the Saints.

I swear the NFL is going to ruin the game of football. This is just ridiculous. Not that I care how much Suh makes or loses any given Sunday, but it's bullshit how they are going out of their way to swindle money out of the player's hands because they play the game the way it's supposed to be played... physical.

I'm thinking of writing a long winded letter to the league office in the off-season about why instant replay and terrible officiating is destroying the game of football. :bitch:

Cowboys haven't been having a great season, but they SHOULD win all their remaining games and grab a playoff berth which would be nice.

Probably will come down to the final game against Philly. If so it would be the 3rd year in a row where they play for a playoff berth on the last day.

Still bitter that Brady beat the Saints? But yeah, Gronk is just another in a long line of major injuries. Tough year for the team. I'm expecting one and done in the playoffs.
