I'd like to see some bands that never tour the U.S. like Annihilator, Anathema, Lake of Tears, Warmen, Tad Morose, Manowar(hardly ever) Eldritch, Cathedral, Sahg,

Also some old school bands: Armored Saint, Death Angel, Testament, Overkill, Cannibal Corpse, Iced Earth, reformed Savatage!! Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Flotsam and Jetsam, Candlemass

Black Metal: Immortal, 1349, Dark Funeral, Marduk

And of course the one and only IRON MAIDEN!!!

Great to see Saxon on this bill, they very rarely tour the U.S. either.

Folk metal we can do without.......
2015 wishlist: Mercyful Fate, Meliah Rage, Agalloch, Anathema, Armored Saint, Warlock, Sahg, Labyrinth, Incantation, Accept, Savatage, Goatwhore, Satan, Bolt Thrower, Tad Morose, Krokus, TT Quick, Eldritch

    Iron Maiden won't happen.
You gotta be realistic in terms of how much the band costs and how much they will make from a boat with only 2000 metalheads.
It's one of the reasons Iron Maiden don't play many metal festivals.

Ok well never say never! Maybe the Scorpions will play? They are calling it quits after a massive tour for 3 years. That would be going out in Style.........

    Speedy's Cominggggggggg

Uli Jon Roth could step in on the old shit!

I agree. Arch Enemy are "ok". But give me Rachel (Occult/Sinister) vox any day. I saw After Forver at Wacken, Theater of Tragedy, Trail of Tears, and Within Temptation at Dynamo....so long ago. But I am over that now and ready to move on to BRUTALITY :P

Maybe we can do some shotguns on the sun deck!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

metalwrath- hahahah, that new Burzum album is killer. The vocals send shivers down my spine. Or we could have Watain on board, picking up the dead bloated rotting sea life for stage props.

Seriously though, I wish they would get some old school death (Dismember, Grave, Unleashed) or some good black metal. Wolves in the throne room would be killer. they play here all the time, since they live here in Olympia. They are playing on the 21st of April as a matter of fact and just played two weeks ago. BestialBekah went, I could not make it out.

Only two bands still remaining on my Must See list is Pain of Salvation and Anathema.

Highly doubt that would happen though.

It would be killer if they got Blind Guardian on board though. Especially seeing since they are supposed to have a new album / tour this year I believe. Get Iced Earth as well, then they could throw a Demons and Wizrads Show. That would be awesome.

Even more impossible, but it would be incredible if they could get a full Avantasia or Ayreon show. haha.

that would be interesting, all the following bands would allow an accurate to cd production of the human equation

    * James LaBrie (Dream Theater) as Me
    * Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth, Bloodbath) as Fear
    * Eric Clayton (Saviour Machine) as Reason
    * Heather Findlay (Mostly Autumn) as Love
    * Irene Jansen (ex-Karma) as Passion
    * Magnus Ekwall (The Quill) as Pride
    * Devon Graves (Dead Soul Tribe/ex-Psychotic Waltz) as Agony
    * Marcela Bovio (Elfonía, Stream of Passion) as Wife
    * Mike Baker (Shadow Gallery) as Father
    * Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon/Stream of Passion/Ambeon/Star One) as Best Friend
    * Devin Townsend (ex-Strapping Young Lad/ex-The Devin Townsend Band) as Rage
    * Peter Daltrey as Forever (uncredited Cameo)

of course I dont know for sure id want the human equation over into the electric castle. But I really want to meet Marcela Bovio

Coming from Europe I would like to see bands that don't play over here very often. A few that come to mind:

    CAGE
    Metal Church
    Jag Panzer
    Angra
    Shaman
    Iced Earth
    Symphony X

If any of these get confirmed ( especially CAGE ) and I'll be a very happy man :D

Things are looking decent thus far and would like to see further announcements in the vein of Heavy Metal and Traditional Doom Metal (Kory Clarke-fronted Trouble does not satisfy).

Some suggestions... Heaven & Hell, Blood Farmers, Brocas Helm, Death Row, Against Nature, Dark Quarterer, Manilla Road, Axe Vyper, Apostle Of Solitude, Count Raven, Desolation Angels, Dark Forest, Pagan Altar, The Gates Of Slumber and The Lamp Of Thoth!

Just a few more random band ideas to throw in:

Running Wild (we need to bring them out of retirement because a cruise is nothing without pirate metal!!!!)
Alestorm (no Running Wild but I guess they might have to do)
Mago De Oz (crazy spanish pirate/folk)
    Agent Steel
    Tankard (beer metal!!)
    Freedom Call
    Impellitteri

    mmm... metal. That is all.

I am quite happy with the variety so far.

Something I don't understand is where some people's hate for all the Nu-Metal and Metalcore stuff is coming from. Lot's of it sucks for sure, but there are some bands that are not that bad. I personally don't mind bands like Chimaira or Unearth.

I am European, so probably I just don't get it. Can someone enlighten me?

I agree, there are some good ones... I think Chimaira is awesome. Andols is bloody incredible. Unearth not so much...

The thing I don't like about most of them is the "woooooooah wooah woooooooah" vocals... if that makes sense to any of you. A lot of bands that are considered Nu Metal have had pretty good "mainstream success". . .

Actually I really enjoy Chimaira as well. Although their first couple of albums are terrible. I suppose when you delve into the metal scene and experience many bands live, you tend to stop listening to bands that are metalcore and nu-metal because you hear such amazing artistry that doesn't even compare to bands like Chimaira. Not to say that some of these bands don't have good qualities.....they just don't make the grade. I have seen Chimaira and Unearth live (while going to see other bands) and the live show doesn't even compare to a band like Amon Amarth or Carcass. And let's face it, with so many incredible metal bands (and such a vast variety) you don't have time to listen to bands that are just ok.
At least that is my opinion. Bottom line, like what you want to. But maybe you should start checking out other bands. You may be surprised what you find.
