I thought only small bands would play on the Spectrum Lounge, not Nevermore for example. I was looking for the capacity of the venues and I found:

Same here. So if a band is playing to a packed room that holds 257 people and all of them want to stay for the next 3 bands are you basically screwed until they leave?

Or are they going to make everyone leave after each and every band plays and have a line form outside for the next band. But this also screws you over if you want to see 2 bands in a row.

I'm hoping this turns out to be a total non-event as it sounds like it could be a logistical nightmare.

Hence why I'm glad to hear Obituary is playing on the outside pool deck, along with Forbidden. Death/thrash in a chaise lounge (and no capacity restrictions)

Then again there will be multiple shows going on at the same time so it should thin the herd out as much as possible.

Keep in mind that they mentioned they would be taking out the first few rows of chairs in order to accomodate a standing crowd, I'm sure it won't be a problem fitting 1000 people standing into a room that typically holds 250. You would be surprised how compact people can get when they are standing. I just hope they dont consider it a fire hazard. I highly doubt that there will ever be a problem with a venue being full on the ship.

Read the contract, nothing is guaranteed. No one is guaranteed anything and it likely won't be an issue, but you never know. You can walk down the street and get hit BY (is what I meant) lightning 3X.

yes I should, I have Jim's phone number and my friend Bekah has Jeff Loomis's #....I will have her call him and give him directions. I might not see them tomorrow if its packed. Small club, only US show and the first hometown show they have played in almost 21 years. The last time the played Seattle was on May 18th, 1990 at the 10th Anniversary of Mount St Helens eruption with Forced Entry in Support!!!!!!!!!!!!1 That was awesome.

Well, Closing day Thursday sucks for me a bit as Raven and Death Angel play at the same time, as do Amon Amarth and Nevermore and then the whole thing wraps up with.... Dusk Machine (hopefully this is filler at the club stage while the all-star jams are still taking place on the main stage).

THANK YOU LIEUTENANT COMMANDER.

The only conflicts I see for ME is Amon Amart playing at the same time as Sanctuary and THEN Nevermore. The greedy bastard I am wanted to see all 3 of those bands 2X. But I'll have to rule on the side of Sanctuary as that is the "rarer" occurance at this point.

Hey Kev... I see the Nevermore conflict on Thursday but Sanctuary finishes up just as AA hits the stage on Tuesday.

Man thats been awhile. Grunge just fucked up everything back then didint it? Forced Entry was a great band. Wish they would have made a few more records. Was just listening to Bone Cracking Fever this morning.

Well at least we have the running order. I only see 2 conflicts on it for me. So the choices will have to be made. Can't wait to meet everyone. Have a safe trip to Miami and see you soon.

Yes, but I can not miss one minute of both sets of Epica and Blind Guardian

I saw that:
Saxon and Blind Guardian will have the longest sets: 1h 30 min
Amon Amarth and Testament will play in 1h and 15 min
The rest of the bands will play 1 hour or less

Saxon would play the entire second and third album, but those albums don't last more than 50 min, maybe they will play others songs

Yeah, from what ppl have said, bands performing entire albums, whether on other tours or on this cruise, will generally do so and still have time for more.

yep, They will definately play those records and other tunes like Power and the Glory, Crusader, Princess of the Night. etc. I just cant wait to hear them play Street Fighting man and Hungry Years to name a couple. Never heard them play those live and a couple of the other tunes off WoS and SAotL. Cant wait. This time tommorrow we will be in the air heading to Miami.
