I normally don't buy music DVD's, but assuming I'm onboard this will be a mandatory purchase.

I'm still slightly puzzled and tickled with delight over the thought of sitting on a chaise lounge and listening to metal.

Not to go too far off topic, but will all the bands be bringing their own equipment? I can't imagine they would have that much storage space for it.

While we're on the topic of filming...

I just poured over the various terms and conditions and the FAQ and can't find any mention of cameras, video cams or recording equipment. If I missed it just redirect me but I am wondering what, if any, policies have been put in place for this. I know I'm gonna want to take a bazillioin pics of the entire experience but am I limited to my phone cam? Can I bring a small hd cam? Have the artists and management etc put forth any concerns in this regard?

    Thanks
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

Video Recorders I can understand, but cameras too? Does this only apply to digital cameras or all types (35mm)?

You can bring photo and/or video cameras on board and use them except for the live shows.

The use of Pocket cameras / Cell phone cameras is ok.

For the shows, the use of professional photo cameras with exchangeable objectives as well as audio or video recording is not permitted unless officially authorized and a photo/press pass has been issued to that person.

Yeah, I think I mentioned something along those lines in a previous thread or on facebook. I mean, the organizers are from here in Vancouver and Sam's from Victoria. Seems a perfectly natural fit to me... Make it happen kids!!

So, just to clarify, a 10MP digital camera (can fit into pocket) is cool for the live shows?

The use of professional photo cameras with EXCHANGEABLE OBJECTIVES is NOT permitted. So if it does not have an exchangeable objective you should be ok.

For the two main stages in the big lounge and on the pool deck yes. However the number of photo passes will be strictly limited because of the clearly limited dimensions of the venues. We will have at least two professional "official" photographers on board. Their photos will be available to all the press after the event.

Dunno about the rest of you guys but i have no intention of taking any pictures when i'm watching bands play.
The way i do things at metal gigs is beer in one hand and the other one throwing my fist in the air (Don't like the metal horns thing.Thinks it's gay .Expection of course being when Dio is playing live as he was the one who started it)

i heard 3 stages, and the bands will be playing simultaneously, and they will play 2 shows and rotate so that you can see them all. . . and they'll give us a schedule when we are in Miami...

I was gonna ask that. If being there we will be given an schedule or smth like that. I thought no band was going to play at the same time as others. I thought I read that somewhere in the forum... =/
But I do know there is more than one stage =)

Just to know that we'll have schedules is awesome cuz, honesty, I'm not gonna see all the bands. Some of them I don't like, so I'll know when the ones I like are playing. Otherwise, I can go to the pool or to the climbing wall =D

There will often be 2 (or more?) bands playing at the same time but apparently they're making it so no 2 bands are ever playing at the same time TWICE. That way you CAN see all 40 bands if you wish to.
