Just listening to Carach Angren for the first time. It's not really my kind of thing but at the same time I don't hate it. I would be interested to see how it would translate live. I seem to remember hearing Heidevolk from a distance at Metalcamp last year and some what regretted not catching their show. They played a cover of an Irish folk song (The Wild Rover) strangely enough. I also saw Delain last year at Wacken and unfortunately they just didn't do anything for me but I gave them a shot.

Gorefest is long broken up. Ed WArby said the odds of them getting back together are slim to none at this time. Sucks I never got a chance to see them live.

Colleague @ R&D took the Friday off to go. And as I have to fill in @ R&D during holidays/sickness/day offs I couldn't go. And I'm not going to pay €70,- for a day-ticket when I missed over 50% of the line up of that day. Better save that up for Neurotic Deathfest and the cruise. But it is a pity though that I couldn't go as Friday was the only interesting day of the 2 for me with bands such as Flogging Molly, Hatebreed, Millencolin, Sick Of It All and Danko Jones. Seen them all plenty of times in the past when I was more into punkrock. And whenever Hatebreed or Sick Of It All hit Eindhoven or a festival where I'm at I always go and watch them.

I think that's the first time I've seen a head banging corpse paint wearing keyboardist. That defintely brings to "goofy factor" all the way past 11 to 12. Musucally it sounds okay, but I wouldn't be able to stop laughing at a black metal fae painted keyboardist.
