    A question about the booking price and people per cabin.

    by SatansWrath » Tue Apr 20, 2010 1:04 pm

    Hi let me welcome myself, I am Achilles, born in Sweden and been a metalhead since...far to long... Probably one of the few survivors from Europe who managed to survive Wacken to many years in a row now and always in the front in the moshpit. I think my braincells are damaged thought, I cant understand what this means in the pricing section:

    Add $249 per person for taxes, pre-paid gratuities, port charges, booking, and ticketing.
    All prices are PER PERSON, for the whole trip, in US-Dollars and include the following:

    etc and after this text its the prices, as it looks for now Im looking for renting a 4 people cabin

    question number 1: At this moment the cabin for 4 persons is 733 dollars, does this mean that I also have to put in 249$ so price per person is 982$??
    Or is 733 dollars the amount that ill have to pay for the trip in total?

    Question number 2: Me and my girl are looking for the 4 people cabin since its the cheapest, I dont give a dead moose last shit about if other metalheads which I dont know in the cabin, but Do you need to book 4 people together? I dont mind having other people in the cabin randomly chosen by a booking system or anything like that. I just wanna be sure whats the total price gonna be?

    Looking forward to have this questioned answered asap, So I can go to the bank, loan some money, book the trip, book a flight, before only sunset boulevard large balcony GTA 5 suite is left.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Satan's Wrath!
    I hope you and your friends can make the journey.

    I don't represent the cruise company, but I can tell you that your assumptions are correct.

    It's the 250 + 733 = 983 per --- so a 4-person cabin is 983 x 4 = about 3,932

    That price is cheaper per person than a 2-3 person cabin. SO GO FOR IT! :mrgreen:

    Hey Achilles,

    The prices are listed per person. The $249 taxes and fees portion is also per person.

    Below is an example of the costs for a 4Bed, Interior L Category cabin:

    Passenger 1: ($733 + $249 taxes and fees) = $982.00 USD
    Passenger 2: ($733 + $249 taxes and fees) = $982.00 USD
    Passenger 3: ($733 + $249 taxes and fees) = $982.00 USD
    Passenger 4: ($733 + $249 taxes and fees) = $982.00 USD

    Each passenger pays a total of $982.00 USD. So, The total cost for all four passengers in a 4Bed, Interior L cabin is $3,928.00 USD.

    There is two options for payment:

    A) Minimum Payment Schedule
    a. 25% of cruise fees due at the time of reservation and;
    b. Additional 25% of cruise fees due on May 15, 2010 and;
    c. Additional 25% of cruise fees due on July 15, 2010 and;
    d. Final balance of charges due on September 15, 2010

    B) Pay in Full at Booking
    Pay in full at the time of booking and receive a discount of 5% on the Cruise Fare.

    You can only book cabins, not individual tickets. This means, that once a Lead Passenger is designated for a cabin, they are responsible for the other Passenger's in the cabin. The Lead Passenger chooses who is to be the other Passenger(s).

    I hope this helps!

    Alright, now I´ve got the money from the bank etc, but seriously this was probably the strangest pay system I ever encountered. Anyways Im gonna need another answers before I book a cabin please. Im about to book probably tomorrow 27/04-2010

    So lets us say: I book a 4Bed, Interior L Category cabin: $982.00 USD. and I would like to split up the payment, and this is what I would like to ask

    A) Minimum Payment Schedule
    a. 25% of cruise fees due at the time of reservation and;
    b. Additional 25% of cruise fees due on May 15, 2010 and;
    c. Additional 25% of cruise fees due on July 15, 2010 and;
    d. Final balance of charges due on September 15, 2010

    I pay 25 % for the entire cabin ? which means 25% of 3928 USD every month?

    Each passenger pays a total of $982.00 USD. So, The total cost for all four passengers in a 4Bed, Interior L cabin is $3,928.00 USD.

    How do the other passengers gonna pay me? I mean I would not be willing if I wasn't the "lead"passenger to give away full creditcard to complete strangers, how do I even know any proof that They are not just gonna take the money and runaway?

    At this moment me and my girl is going to the cruise, so we gonna need another 2 persons for the cabin, so let us say that I get this people from recruit a cabin mate forum. Em I am now responsible for this guys to pay me money for the tickets and book them in, or do they pay directly to you?

    I would like some clarification in this matter, cuz it just seems little bit to foggy for me at this moment whats the payment plan gonna be.

    And I really need to get cabin mates fast aswell I suppose, if this is true that the lead passenger pays 25% every moment for the cabin, I have to live REALLY cheap this entire summer. So its all up to me to get cabin mates really fast isn't it, so they can pay me asap?

    Well if any moderator or admin would like to a booking walkthrough for dummies it would be really appreciated.

    thanks in advance, and I will be on this cruise whatever the cost. THE EMPEROR COMMANDS =)

    Hey SW. Here's how it has worked for me:

    I met a fellow metalhead here who had a pre-registration code and was kind enough to let me in on his cabin.

    He is the lead passenger. He gave my name to the admins and said I'd be the 2nd passenger.

    He pays his share (whatever method he chooses) and I pay mine (same thing).

    There was no need for him to fork out any money on my behalf or share any personal info with me other than his name.

    The only catch is that we met here and agreed to this BEFORE booking the cabin. Had he wanted to secure the cabin and THEN find a second passenger, it might have been different. So I would recommend finding your 3rd and 4th passengers very soon. I think there's still quite a few people looking here in the forum you mentioned.

    Last thing, there MAY be another option for booking without paying the full cost up front but I'm not sure. For example, you and your travel partner could make the first 50% of the payments and then your 3rd and 4th could make the final 2 payments, if that makes sense. That way, your cabin is booked but you have more time to find the other 2 people. If I was in your position, this is something I'd discuss over the phone with the admins.

    Good luck
    So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

    Well got little annoyed about finding cabin mates, so i ordered a 2 ppl cabin instead, little more expensive but probably well worth the mess of finding other people, worst thing would be to get 2 french guys to the cabin, no english at the entire trip, try to make a conversation and the only answer you get: Sorry Im french. Belive me I was in Australia for 8 months and met to many of em=)

    Anyways, the guys who had paid already, question for you...whats up now, I booked tickets and was informed by: We contact you soon... Cant you just pay on the site with your visa card, or bank transfer? Can someone inform me whats going on right now?

    Damn I just want to get this over with, so I know for sure that I get a cabin for 933USD +249$ and ill be fine.

    Thanks

    Because of the fact that you can only book cabins and not individual tickets, in many cases the booking becomes very complex. People in the same cabin come from different countries, pay with different methods, different payment plans etc. therefore a plain online booking is not available at this point.
    The form on the website is a booking request and one of our team will be in touch with you shortly. If you don't want to wait, please call our hotline:

    Really stupid question about booking

    by ShreddinJ » Sat Aug 14, 2010 7:49 pm

    Hey guys. I haven't booked yet, but I really want to go on this cruise. I just have to save up the time off from work and enough money (easier said than done, right?). I mean, Iced Earth, Saxon, Testament, plus more???

    Anyways, I don't have much experiences with booking cruises. Only went on one cruise and didn't book it personally, so I have a really DUMB question which might get me laughed at:

    Let's say I book a cabin at the price of $966. Now, I understand each person pays $249 as well. But does each person also pay $966? Or is the $966 a one time fee and then each person just pays the $249 extra?

    If I get to go, I'll be bringing my girlfriend with me. So will I pay $966 + $249 and she pays $966 + $249? Or do we split the $966 and then each pay $249?

    (I guess that was more than 1 question but it's really just the same one worded differently).

    Sorry for the stupid question, but as you can see, this sort of thing might make or break the deal!

    Thanks guys! :shred:

    The prices are per person, so $966 + $249 for you, $966 + $249 for your girlfriend.
    Good luck man, and I hope to see ya on board! :cheers:

    Ya better get on it! Last I checked they only had 2 left on Deck 5, and that was probably a month ago. Pretty soon all that will be available are the suites... which would be awesome to have if you can afford it! But keep your eye on the "Recruit a cabin mate" forum, things open up all the time.
    Good luck again man.

    How can you check what's left on each deck? Did you just call and ask?

    If I can afford it, I wouldn't mind a suite, they're pretty sweet (haha). But all I need is a bed, toilet, and shower and the rest of my time will be spent at the bar, pool or watching a show!

    Yeah, I called and asked them. I really wanted Deck 5 at first because that's where the casino is, but then I found an offer I couldn't refuse on Deck 3 with some cool people.
    And that was another thing, I didn't really want to spend too much because like you, I don't plan on being in the room a whole lot.
