    Email notification received?

    by Neck-Wrecker » Tue Jan 03, 2012 10:02 am

    Hi all

Just wondering if any of you have received an official email from UMC yet regarding boarding/tickets/etc.

We are inside of 6 weeks and I have yet to receive anything....

Nope! I'm sure there will be plenty of squawking when we do. Don't worry, it'll all come "soon"

Can't recall when we got them last time but you'll get them. No fears.

Actually, just realised that it was received at 3am GMT, so technically it was the 6th January it was sent considering the timezones.

All booking members as I remember (one per person in the cabin). Also, you'll see my previous message states that we received the emails on the 6th January. It's not yet the 6th ;)

I did notice your post, but wasn't sure that was a set-in-stone date. Truth be told it's me cabin mates that are nervous about it all going down as it should.

Tell them, it will happen and things will be fine.
Last year a lot of us on and off the forums were nervous about things going as planned, cruise being cancelled, run time lists being released, all kinds of things.
It all turned out for the best, so no worries!

What's there for you two to list? Clothes (optional for broads), shower stuff and toiletries (which you can get on broad), sunscreen, whatever you're bringing to seduce me. Done.

Just wondering if any of you have received an official email from UMC yet regarding boarding/tickets/etc.

We are inside of 6 weeks and I have yet to receive anything....
Last time I asked UMC they said 3 weeks out. That would have been Jan. 2 unless they meant sometime iaround the third week. Has anyone got a cabin upgrade yet? That might be holding things up?

You have opened Pandora's Box! Well, more like the box of crazy that is the inside of a girl's mind when she's packing.

First, since I could be spending time in weather between -20F and +80F during my entire trip, I need to make sure I have all the proper clothing for all weather situations. So...shorts, t-shirts, bikini, sandals, etc for the cruise/Miami; raincoat, jacket, jeans, sneakers for my 6 days in Seattle; parka, hat, gloves, sled dog team, etc for the drive to/from the airport in Anchorage.
And since I'm going on a "proper" date in Miami, that opens up an entirely different disaster of what to bring. It's rather embarrassing that I'll spend probably an hour deciding which dress to bring for this occasion :?
And then which bikini to bring, and which shoes, and which band shirts, and which jacket, and will I need a hair straightener, and how much black eyeliner can I fit in my carry on, and oh no this is too much stuff I have to leave something at home and I CAN'T HANDLE THE PACKING PROCESS!

    Girls suck

    Let's simplify this for ya:

Cruise necessities: Band shirts, shorts, sunscreen, sunglasses, bikini (obviously the see through one), hair straightener, toiletries, abortion pills.
You live in Alaska. You'll be in a car for the ride to the airport. Surely you can handle -20F for the short trip from your place to the car, no?
Seattle: Umbrella. That other stuff is just wasted space.
Find the smallest and tightest dress possible for your proper date. It will save you luggage space for your black eyeliner and will tighten some of Jeffie's clothes when he sees it. ;)
Add in one pair of sneakers and sandals and you're golden!

See how easy that was? :P
I should get around to updating my signature
