Chinese New Year Celebration abroad - Year of the Dragon

    by rockhound » Tue Jan 10, 2012 4:28 am

As someone mentioned around we are celebrating the Chinese New Year abroad on January 23rd
Being this the Year of the Dragon, we should get a suitable band.
Still have 5 spots so why not bring

    DRAGONFORCE
    or
RHAPSODY OF FIRE with some of their dragon related songs.

    I think Therion might fit.

I think they have some songs related to Dragons.

They should be on the first day then, and required to play some of those songs.

Are fire efects allowed on the pool deck? No dragon is real without some fire. Will be a nice contrast with the water :)

I'm gonna guess fire effects on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean probably falls under the "not allowed" category

If we're really in trouble you might be lucky enough to see some flares, but that's about it.

Haha, I actually attend the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations. Some kind of acknowledgment of the Year of the Dragon on the cruise would be pretty awesome, although I won't expect it. But I will be saving the celebrations 'til after I return from the metal boat! :headbanger:

The year of the dragon ends on Feb 7 2013. So we'll be able to enjoy Dragonforce in the last days of their year :headbanger:
