I've listened to some of their stuff over the past couple of days after reading a review of The Giant. Funeral doom ain't my thing, but I actually didn't mind it at all and would probably see a set if they were on broad. The music would go well with a cool, misty, windy night on the pool deck.

That would be so good. The Giant is fantastic, I love it. It's very progressive though, and kinda has a slight psychadelic feel to it, too, but still heavy and doomy! The closest they got to funeral doom really was the first album.
