I dunno what it is but girls farting is very turn offish. I actually broke up with a girl I had been seeing when we woke up together and she farted on my leg and then said "I have to go take a shit", I grabbed my clothes and when she came out of the bathroom I told her that I did not want to go out with her anymore. :viking:

However its perfectly ok if us guys wanna give a girl a DUTCH OVEN   :headbanger:

haha I generally leave it up to the girl.

If she doesn't want to fart around me, I'll try my best not to fart around her. (And start thinking of various excuses why I have to suddenly leave the room  )

Get her drunk before she gets on and i hope your not in the bottom of the ship. Tell her to go to her doctor and he'll hook her up.

The lower you are in the ship the sturdier/less rocky the ride is.

There was an earlier post that said the closer you are to the middle of the boat, the less the motion. This is true. I get motion sick, and have been on one cruise. The boat is large, has stabilizers, and should be pretty ok. In Canada you can get the patch (scopolamine) over the counter. You leave it on for 3 days. Unless you are incredibly sensitive or put a zillion patches on, you will not have hallucinations. You may have a little bit of dry mouth. Yes, I am a doctor. And a metalhead.

Who plans on taking something for sea sickness?

    by longhairedaaron » Thu Dec 30, 2010 5:25 pm

Well this is a dilemma as I've never been on a cruise.

Take something for sea sickness and have possible side effects from it such as being super tired. Plus I want to drink like a fish and from what I've read your not supposed to.

Not take something and risk being in the cabin the whole time puking since they say once you start getting it taking something doesn't help much.

So what do you guys think? I've heard sea sickness doesn't happen much on these "big" ships but I'm not sure to believe that or not. I just don't want to do something stupid either way that would jeopardize the tons of fun I want to have on this cruise!!!

There was a post about this a while back. If you get motion sickness of any kind, I'd bring some dramamine. Another alternative is chewing ginger.

I don't THINK I'm prone to sea-sickness, but I've been mulling this problem over, too. It would suck to assume that since I'm OK on long ferry rides, small boats and can read in a car or on a train without issue that I'll be fine, then learn that I'm not and spend the week miserable.

I would kind of assume that stuff like Dramamine would be available on broad (sic -- just following the rules! ;) ), most likely at a premium. I'm not really a fan of pharmaceuticals for stuff like this, myself. I plan on bringing a homeopathic first aid kit, including every likely remedy for motion sickness and material to repertorize by. (Great. I've just officially outed myself as a total weirdo. Luckily it seems I'll be in good company. )

i'm no fan of pharmaceuticals either. but suffering also sucks.

i use Meclizine. it's only like $4 for 100 pills, no prescription needed but in the states you do have to ask for it at the pharmacy. side effects seem minimal, but my head and stomach feel fine when i'm flying and on busses. i'm definitely bringing a bottle with me on the cruise. it's so cheap and it works and doesn't make me as sleepy as Dramamine.

Just make sure there aren't any needles or scissors in your first aid kit! TSA kinda frowns on things like that. Trust me, I learned once.
And they should sell those little tab things onbroad that you put behind your ears that helps with motion sickness.

The only time i ever got sick on a cruise was because i downed a lot of rum straight from some random Swedes and then puked somewhere on the boat and passed out and then woke up in a VIP area with some lounge crew drinking beer with them.

i use Meclizine. it's only like $4 for 100 pills, no prescription needed but in the states you do have to ask for it at the pharmacy. side effects seem minimal, but my head and stomach feel fine when i'm flying and on busses. i'm definitely bringing a bottle with me on the cruise. it's so cheap and it works and doesn't make me as sleepy as Dramamine.

Thanks for the tip, rhiawiz. I bought mine yesterday.
