Top band members I came across the most of the time

    by Metaluke17 » Sun Jan 29, 2012 5:47 pm

Top band members I came across most of the time, at less those I could most easily identify

    1. Dave Padden (Vocal & Guitars Annihilator) shared the same plane (Toronto-Miami) and was 2 cabins next to me.
    2. Maurizio Iacono (Vocal Kataklysm) He was on the same deck (4) I believe
    3. Christopher Bowes (Vocal and Keyboards Alestorm) So colorful he was hard to miss.
    4. Jeff Waters (Guitars Annihilator) Since Dave Padden was always around, Jeff was almost as present too.
    5. Travis Morgan (Bass Atheist) One of the rare with longer hair than me, easy to recognize at far distance
    6. Kelly Shaefer (Vocal Atheist) He's a true rocker, indeed!
    7. Dani Evans (Guitars Alestorm) red hairy dwarf was rather easy to spot.
    8. Terrence Hobb (Guitars Suffocation) Black men with long dreads was uncommon on the boat
    9. Gerre (Vocal Tankard) Most of the time totally wasted
    10. Dave Linsk (Guitars Overkill) Hanging in the casino.

Also I have noticed a few times: Fabio Leone (Kamelot), Lord Ahriman & Chaq Mol of Dark Funeral, DD Verni of Overkill, Marco Hietala of Nightwish and many others.

The very first band member I met was Mike from Channel Zero, within minutes of getting on the boat. I didn't know who he was until he introduced himself though. Nice guy.

I saw most of the guys from My Dying Bride a lot, but rarely saw Shaun and never saw David. Orphaned Land guys I saw everywhere too, except for Yossi i never saw at all, and Kobi only once. The drummer I saw the most, the Viking Lounge seemed to be his favourite place to hang out, as every time I went there, he was there.

I saw Tarald and Anders from Tristania quite often, and quite often they were together. I rarely saw the other members though, except for on Georgetown, they were on the same bus back to the port and sat with Kjetil, and Mariangela spent a lot of time in the Karaoke lounge on the final night.

Saw some of the members of Therion a bit too, mainly Snowy, Thomas and Johan.

The one guy I wanted to see though, Robert Lowe, I never saw anywhere!

I also saw Snowy shaw alot and talked to him for quite a while on monday night.

I saw and hung out with Dave Padden quite a bit as well as Lord Ahriman (really nice dude) and Rob lowe a bunch on wednesday night. For a while, i was hanging out with Lowe and Lord at the same time. sweet!

Other notables-Roppe from COB i saw a TON all by himself in his normal wasted state.

I saw the singer from MDB quite a bit too (im not a big fan of them)

Yeah, no joke! I was really hoping to see him, but never did.

Various guys from My Dying Bride, Coroner, and Alestorm were the ones I saw around the most.

Snowy Shaw, by far the most. I swear he was following me. I'd see him in one spot, go somewhere on another deck on the other side of the ship and he'd be there too! Reminds me of this bit from a Dream Evil video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO9qJs2gRxY&t=1m52s

Also saw Tuomas from Nightwish quite a bit, as well as Kobi from Orphaned Land.

Mostly Uri and Chen from Orphaned Land; watched part of the second Kamelot show with them, really cool guys.

Watched the first Riot set with Frank Gilchriest (the drummer from Virgin Steele). Didn't realize it was him until after the show and he was talking RIot's ear off while I was sitting back there (I watched this show from the backstage-ish area in the Spectrum). Then he came up behind me during the Nightwish set on the pool deck and we talked for a bit and I apologized for not recognizing him and told him they played a great set.

Saw the Nightwish dudes around a lot, but I also spent most of my free time in the casino.

And then a bunch of other random people; no one I really had any in depth conversation with besides the first three though.

I saw the singer from Alestorm all over the place. He was everywhere! And he always had a drink in his hand.
This is how much I saw him. People I saw the most, in order from most to least:
    1) Jeff
    2) Singer from Alestorm
    3) My cabinmates

Also saw Snowy Shaw a few times, and Fabio a bit. I saw that dude from Nightwish a couple of times too.
The guys from Riot were out and about quite a bit too.

C'mon you guys. Robert Lowe was on the upper pool deck for weeks. I saw him at least 10 times just only there. Probably has something to do with that I know Mappe and Janne a bit and talked with them for hours.

However the artist I saw the most must have been Kenny Winter of Exciter.

I saw the guys from Nightwish fairly often, due to us stalking them. Snowy was damn near everywhere. Ewo (Nightwish's Manager, I think Amorphis too) ran into me several times an hour, jesus that guy was mobile. Then there were guys form Overkill, Anal-Eater, and Vicious Rumors that I ended up talking to and not recognizing until they mentioned it.

And man, Chris's shirt was not easy on the eyes at all, especially in the sea of black shirts. But it made him easy to stalk

Yeah, the people I wanted to see (Nightwish) I didn't start seeing until very late Thursday, but then Tuomas Holopainen was everywhere I was (SERIOUSLY NOT A PROBLEM GUYS.I COULD STARE AT HIM FOR HOURS.) Mostly because I hung out in the casino a lot, but other places too. Like when everyone was off at Grand Cayman and Dan and I decided to Johnny Rocket's. He was there on the deck just outside and I called his hat dorky without even seeing who was under it heh, I almost bowled him over on pool deck and other such close calls happened. I saw the rest of Nightwish almost once an hour while I was awake. And I swear Ewo was stalking us. He would just be in the most random places ever lol.

Chris from Alestorm was not a hard fellow to miss, that's for sure. I saw Snowy everywhere. I saw a member of Overkill a lot who really really liked the fact that I came and I was a metal head in a wheelchair..

I think that was about it for people we were chronically running into.

I saw the ladies from Eluveitie a lot, but I could pick them out cause I kind of have a thing for them.
Chris from Alestorm was everywhere but he was easy to pick out. Couldn't miss Corpsegrinder's neck, and I noticed Alexi Leiho everywhere since COB is one of my faves.
Guy I saw the most of by far is the singer of Tankard, Andreas I think? We met back in Miami at a Kill Your Idol and partied the rest of the night, including a :boobs: club

You sure it wasn't Aaron from My Dying Bride? Someone told me a story about someone mistaking Aaron for Tuomas, and Aaron approaching Tuomas and joking about it. I think it was Kevin?

    It was Hamish, not Aaron.

Hamish came up to Helena, Alicia and I when we were standing at the top of the stairwell on deck 12. First thing he says to us is.... "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" :P

Talked for a bit, he said that his band had finished for the cruise and wanted to know if we had a running order so he could check out some bands. Alicia said "so who are you?" (nice work!) and he said he was from My Dying Bride.

We chatted a bit, told him how we had watched Tuomas from nightwish watching them, and he went on to tell the story about how someone had sworn that he was "the keyboardist from Nightwish".

One of the funniest moments of the cruise for me!

No, it was Aaron, not Hamish. Similar story, but completely different incident. Still funny though  I think it was Kevin that told the amusing story, if he was here maybe he could clarify it.

Snowy Shaw and Oscar Dronjak were everywhere! I loved that Oscar was filming all the sets on his iPhone. If he wasn't so tall and blonde I would have thought he was just another cruiser.

I spent a lot of time hanging out with Chris Bowes, so I probably saw him the most out of everyone.

aaron was great - see my avatar - i had this yellow moustache courtesy of Bentz (yes i like spelling it "moustache") around my beer bottle so that when i drank it would look like i had a 'stache, but people who just saw me carrying the bottle without taking a drink had no clue what that thing was on my bottle. i was talking to Aaron, Andrew and Hamish of MDB and Aaron points to the thing on my beer and asks "what's THAT" and i promptly took a sip. he simply said "QUITE AMUSING".

    it was awesome. so British-y.

all this talk about band member eye candy... I guess there're some girls among the bands that were pleasant, but frankly a handful of the girls from these very broads were some of the most striking onbroad in my honest opinion.
