    Set lists?

    by MissMetal » Mon Jan 30, 2012 1:36 pm

I was not fortunate enough to set sail for my second voyage with you all this year. I missed out! I searched a bit but can't find a location of the setlists. If there isn't a place already for 'em, please post them here. I'm dying to know what Bodom played both times.

So jealous of you all. Can't wait to see the 2013 lineup :)

I had left the show early to catch a different show but apparently he threw his guitar and had a little hissy fit. Alexi was such a bitch on the cruise.

Both of the Kataklysm set lists were as follows:

    Let Them Burn
    A Souless God
    Push the Venom
    The Ambassador of Pain
    Taking the World by Storm
    Prevail
    As I Slither
    Numb and Intoxicated
    In Words of Desperation
At the Edge of the World
    Crippled and Broken
    Shadows and Dust

The first day I had met Maurizio in the afternoon and was asking about the sets they were going to do, I had told him if they played Road to Devastation it would make my entire week. That I would also love to hear Resurrected. Well apparently they had practiced it so that they could play it for me but with the replacement drummer they just couldn't get it in time and had to stick with their original set lists. Maurizio remembered and apologized huge for this, he felt so bad about that.

Fuck I love Kataklysm. I didn't think I could love them more after this cruise but they were all absolutely fucking amazing and sweet to me on so many different occasions.

I WANT TO GO BACK ON THE CRUISE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!

he also dumped one of his other band members stuff on the ground geting off the cruise and he had to wait like an hour for them to find his bag.

I think he threw his guitar down at the end because they were being kicked off the stage so they could get ready to set upfor the next band. COB started late and had to cut some song at the end, which probably pissed him off.

Besides that, during the first show Alexi wasn't really that fit. He went behind the stage two or three times during the show and puked on the floor  Then he came back out and just continued singing
I liked the second show much more than the first one on the pool deck. Sound was way better and they all seemed to be in a much better mood.

    I posted a bunch to setlist.fm (Edguy's 1st show, Kamelot, In Extremo's 1st show, Therion's 2nd show, Virgin Steele's 2nd show, Eluveitie's 2nd show) so if you need any of those, I have 'em.

    Trying to remember the rest.

Anyone can guess the Candlemass second set list...

I only got 2 set lists. My Dying Bride on the left from the Chorus Line, and Orphaned Land from the pool deck.

Orphaned Land played an absolutely perfect setlist IMO. I don't care that they played the same show twice, it was better the second time around. Wish I could've snagged that setlist; awesome job.

The only ones I have are Virgin Steele's 2nd set and Eluveitie's 2nd set (which was also friggin' stellar)

I enjoyed their second show better than the first one as well. No complaints from me on the setlist. Some stuff I wanted to hear they couldn't do because they didn't have Shlomit. It was a pretty predictable list but it was amazing.

I enjoyed the first one more, but only because at their second show, I was exhausted and sleepy. I don't think Shlomit being absent would have been a barrier, they played some songs she sings in without her presence.

Thanks, there was no effort involved though. There was a pic laying on the stage, and the girl next to me called out to a crew member to give her the pic, so he reaches for the set list and she says no and points to the pic. Stupid. I would have taken both. So I asked him to give me the rejected set list.

At My Dying Bride, people were fighting over the set lists on the stage, including Nicolas  And not being a pushy bastard, I just went to the side of the stage and politely asked one of the crew guys to hand me the set list that was posted on one of the amps or whatever on the side of the stage. WIN! :P

Too bad setlist.fm isn't trustworthy. I see a lot of setlists there who aren't correct.

Yep, true. I looked at some of those, the My Dying Bride one didn't look right.

They are not complete. Samael first set only has two songs, for example.

I posted the 2nd MdB set which I got straight from Aaron's set list on the stage.

Not only are they incomplete, but looks like the track listings are out of order as well.

    Moonsorrow's 2nd set was:

    Tähdetön
    Raunioilla
    Taistelu Pohjolasta
    Kuolleiden Maa

I am having problems remembering the first set, I know for sure they played Muinaiset, Kylän Päässä and Sankaritarina, but I don't remember which song they started with and I don't know if I imagined them playing Kivenkantaja

Wishlist 2013: Finntroll, Ensiferum, Septic Flesh, Primordial, Powerwolf, Heidevolk, Insomnium, Kalmah, Equilibrium, Skull Fist, Chthonic

They played Kivenkantaja right before Sankaritarina. I got a real quick video clip of it (about a minute long). I think that was probably their best performance (or maybe just because it's my favorite song of theirs. . .?).

Still not sure what they opened with either.

The first set was totally awesome, the second one I didn't enjoy, but it was not because of the band or the set list. I'd put their first set in my top 5 of the most awesome Moonsorrow gigs that I've seen.

Any other Moonsorrow fans who remember what they played first? It was a short song... probably from Suden Uni?

I think he's better at performing karaoke than performing in Children of Bodom

I went to see them on their second show, saw 5 minutes and fell asleep the rest of the show. Best power nap ever

Hm the first show they had just terrible sound in the beginning.
I was also standing there with a "wtf is this..!! " head.. but it got better after 2 songs.

Second show we were sitting upstairs in the theater and it was just nice to watch.

Besides that, I don't really think he's that bitchy. We walked by him in a corridor and he greeted us and said something funny. Not thát rockstar attitude in my eyes :P

But yeah, who cares about Alexi when there's Henkka on bass

I listened to their set while sitting with my feet in the pool. I liked what I heard (although I showed up late for the set and didn't catch the opening couple of songs). I couldn't see the stage for the whole set so I missed all of Alexi's antics. I was really fucking excited that they played "Kissing the Shadows" though because I've seen this band like 6 times and they never played that song, so when I heard it live I started to go ape shit. :shred:

Alexi was entertaining in karaoke fo' sho. I never bothered to say hi. He didn't seem like he wanted to be approached at the times I saw him... I don't care really.

Hehe yeah.. well I understand your point.
He went sitting at the table next to us some day and I didn't see a point in saying hi either.

But what I meant was that he greeted us when passing in the corridor, and that that doesn't show the character of a rockstar who doesn't give a shit to me :P
