New Tiamat record is good. I don't know how well you know them, but it's a very solid half Deeper Kind of Slumber half Skeleton Skeletron IMO.

Hahah I basically have to spell that any time someone asks for my last name. I have not gotten the new Tiamat album yet (I know I suck) since I'm veeeeeeery behind on CDs this year. I will definitely have to get moving on it, though.

If we were to get Finnish bands, I'd like them to be some killer ones - especially some old school death metal as that scene is really blooming atm. Oh, and I wouldn't mind seeing Moonsorrow (and I know a certain couple would go apeshit if they were announced) or Swallow the Sun. Aah, and of course Lunar Path - we need more girlie bands!

Moonsorrow is ok and Lunar Path goes as well. But if Swallow comes then its time to go and eat. Ja näistähän voidaan keskustella lisää paikanpäällä.

I like StS; well mostly their earlier work, but them being friends of mine they would definitely be a two-setter for me.
Oh, it's a good thing you like Moonsorrow, because you'll be flying with the Awesomevångs (Uncle Soda and MadameLePink) - the ultimate Moonsorrow fans. :beerwink:

Evergrey is good stuff! And indeed, finally some prog. You can't keep ignoring a whole sub genre for three consecutive editions.
Tiamat doesn't do much for me, but I may check out one set.

Kreator is great and so are 5 of the other bands, but that means we aren't even close to batting .300! Not even good for baseball.
As far as being on the wrong cruise you may end up being right, but 70000 TOM was the right cruise the first two voyages.
    Barge to rainbows,BAH!
If I wanted rainbows I'd cruise to Ireland and chase leprechauns.
It's my birthday today I was hoping for a nice big Thrash Metal present.
Oh well hope in one hand crap in the other, see which one fills up first.

Listened to some Tiamat. Okay - may check out a set.

Remember giving Evergrey a try when they announced they were touring Australia 4 or 5 years ago, to see if they were worth seeing live or not.

Found their music booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring, so won't be wasting my time seeing them on broad.

This is shaping up to be a great lineup for me, Evergrey and Tiamat are bands I've crossed paths with over the years but I'll definitely need to do some catching up. Both will be worth one set for sure.

Bit of a hint that they are heading a long way North - all the way to Canada perhaps?
