    Survivor's PROMOCODE

by Captain Alex » Thu Jun 28, 2012 6:11 am

Hi!! I've just recived my promocode by mail, as this is my first year of survivor I have a question, is it useful just to book before the other people or it may be useful to have some discount for the prices too?

    Thnks & Cheers!

No mention of a special discount only for those with promo codes. The promo code just lets you book before the general public., which in a way can be a discount since you have a better chance at getting a cheaper cabin.

I'd send you mine, 'cause I probably wont go until they announce AHAB :P But I think they are non transferable?

What are the chances of all the cheap cabins selling out straight away like they did this year? This year everyone was still on high from the first cruise, and no one really seems to be that impressed with the first announcement. (yes, I'm the only person that refers to the cruise in the calendar year. LOL  )

Correct. The promo codes are non-transferrable so only the person issued the code by UMC can use it.

I don't expect the cheapest cabins to sell out right away, but I do expect them to sell out fairly quickly. Hell, I won't be booking early this time.

I like both. But "The Silent Enigma" is still my favorit. I.m.o "we´re here because we´re here" and "weather system" are good to. It is another time and Anathema are grown.

I have a question. Do the veterans who went last year, but not this year, still get a promo code for 2013? I was just curious if I'd get a promo code next year for 2014, because I was on the 2012 cruise. Not likely I will go next year because I 'can't really afford it' unless AHAB is announced then i'd just have to put it all on my credit card and worry about paying it off later :D

I know that my question could be stupid, but if everyone who got the promocode book a cabin, is there still a chance for some persons who will go for the first time in 2013 to have a cabin?

If every single person used their promocode, that would mean the entire boat would be full and sold out again, and exactly the same crowd next year as there was this year. But the chances of that happening are very slim.

I remember throughout the year, there were spots being sold in the cheaper cabins, as people cancel their bookings, new spots open up, or people who book an entire cabin, and need to sell the remaining 3 spots. So if you haven't been on the cruise before and miss out on the pre bookings, it might pay to check back to the recruit a cabin mate part of the forum regularly.

Thanks everyone :bangers: I'm going for myself and hope to book a double/twin cabin. Not that I wouldn't to be with other people, but cause of my disability (with crutches), that could be upsetting for everybody, I think

Actually Nicolas, there is only one spot left in your cabin now. Looks we're going to be cabin mates after all.

Yeah Nick, how come you didn't ask Pablo for the last spot? After he helped get you on the boat this year because of your age. For shame Mister.

Thank you very much 70000tons of Metal and UMC for giving us survivors promocodes.

While I kinda expected a discount at first, without the promocode I would have spent $200 more per person now most likely.

    Thank you UMC!

Great to see how you value your loyal customers!

Definitely not  Then we'd all be special, and that's lame. I wouldn't mind if they made the promo codes transferrable. Then maybe I could've sold mine (since I'm already booked with a veteran that used hers) for some cash.
