Don't forget to vote, because the 70000TONS OF METAL 2014 Destination Campaign is in full swing! So far Cockburn Town and Costa Maya are in the lead with Freeport being in a solid third place.

The Mexican cartel probably held back some votes in a conspiracy to make the Costa Maya voters get complacent .Then bam a big block of Cockburn voters.

    COCBURN pleasssse!!!!

Costa Maya is just an artificial Touristresort, built in 2001, except of Mahahual which is a real city. But frankly said I am not very convinced of this destination. I would like to go too COCKBURN, yes. :heavydrink:

Artificial tourist resort? I thought all the destinations are pretty much artificial, man-made tourist traps. The Margaritaville (or what ever) in the Turks is just as tourist-y as, say, in Cozumel or Costa Maya.

but Cockburn Town is at least a historic City. Off course there is also a lot of entertainment for tourists, as everywhere in the caribbean sea, but Costa Maya was completely designed from the very beginning. Thats what I meant :beerwink:

    Cheers

Sue and I took a bicycle tour of Grand Turk/Cockburn. The island is poor, filty and depressing. You can lay on a beach on any island.
Why not try something different. There certainly are no Mayan ruins on Grand Turk.

The numbers are probably rounded down, which will give displayed total of 96-99%, depending on the actual fractions.

Even if they were all whatever.49, it doesn't add up. Some votes aren't being counted, or like Ryan said they didn't select anything.

Could just be a case of left-off decimals which haven't been rounded up or down.

That is, for all we know the votes could be:

Cockburn Town, Turks & Caicos Islands (36.99)

    Costa Maya, Mexico (37.48)

    Cozumel, Mexico (5.97)

    Freeport, Bahamas (13.42)

Numbers won't move more than 1 percent in anyway, unless there is a large enough group of people conspiring (holding there vote til a certain time and voting together). If 1800 people or so can vote it would take something like that to move total, most people have voted already.

Costa Maya is just an artificial Touristresort, built in 2001, except of Mahahual which is a real city. But frankly said I am not very convinced of this destination. I would like to go too COCKBURN, yes. :heavydrink:

    Cheers Ripley

And Mahahual is barely a village. :P

Mahahual is a village on the Costa Maya in the municipality of Othon P. Blanco

Starting to like this game ;)

Anyway, whatever destination it will be in the end, it will be great as it always was.

I voted for Costa Maya for few reasons:

    - there's a tram that take passengers near the ship (a very good point for the people who can't walk a lot  )
    - the pier in Cockburn is quite long, so, too much walk for me
    - there will be 2 other ships at Cockburn, that means a lot of people more, too crowded everywhere, for sure
    - as we already went to Cockburn this year, I personally would like to go to another place. Well, of course, I didn't go outside of the ship, so, not a real idea how it was over there  )

I will definitely stay on the ship if we go to Cockburn. It's just my personal opinion, the most important are the bands and the shows on board, of course :headbanger:

It's tied right now and me, Mel and our two friends have yet to vote. Mels worried CM will be hot as fuck. Actually she wants to go to Freeport hoping the boat won't be so windy if we're not cranking full speed to get there.
