Will do. Although I'm not sure too many will get to taste the delicious salmiakki liquor (I tend to drink it all by myself  ) let alone like it if given the chance to taste.

It's not any worse than any other macro brewed pale lager for the masses. To be honest, I'd rather drink a Foster's than, say, its Finnish equivalent Lapin Kulta. Well, I'd rather not drink either, but then again, I'm a bit snobbish when it comes to beer.

Nikki (another 70K cruise alum) and I were discussing this at the Watain gig last night. We both agreed that *something* is *different* this year - exactly the whats & whys and how it (the cruise) pans out remains to be seen.....also that some announcement will have to be made before that Oct 27th date, which is only 11 days away.

Yes, it's different in the way that we know since few weeks now that Andy had some personal issues this year, what a lot of people seem to forget.

Of course, we had to vote until Monday for the destination and nothing is confirmed yet, but it will probably be when Royal Caribbean will confirm it. Andy wont to confirm our destination if there's a problem with RC, that make sense.

About the bands announcements, we also have to remember that all took longer time cause of the Andy's personal issues. It has been confirmed that the cruise wont be cancelled and not forget that we have more than 3 months before we leave Miami, there are again plenty of time to have our 40 bands confirmed. Stay positive and keep the faith!

Now that we know where we will be sailing we only need 26 to 27 more announcements on bands on board...

I know about personal issues of the skipper but this can´t keep them away from hiring bands. At least I hope so since Andy is not the one and only in UMC... :?

That should have zero impact on the business end, and is in no way a good explanation.

Let's say I have one stripper I like and she falls ill. It's perfectly ok she won't be performing her art. But if there's, say, a strip joint that has 40 or even 42 strippers and the bouncer falls ill; I wouldn't expect them to close down for five months and wait for the bouncer to recover.

Totally agree with this, with all the bookings selled as fast as this year anyone can hire at least 3 people to make any work he can't, and still be swimming in money, in the other hand if you (as customer) 've any personal problems I'm sure they won't be waiting for you 5 months to make your booking payment for the cruise, they'll surely cancel your booking taking the corresponding fee and fee taxes.. we're talking about business, payments and customer satisfaction here, not about friends understanding

I feel like we might actually get bands this week. But that's probably wishful thinking

Doing my best to be there for 2015.

Notice the times Andy has been posting. Maybe his personal problem is that he's become a vampire. Welcome to the undead :death:

I dreamed Coroner was announced today.

But I also dreamed that a korean band named Huat (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) with a hot female singer was announced, so I'm not pretty sure on the accuracy of that dream.

Actually, since announcements started up again, the eleven announcements that have been made have been made between the hours of a typical work day here in Australia - between 8am and 4.30pm our time.

So, the only logical explanation is - Andy has moved to Australia and that's why he was quiet for so long, he was moving country!

talked to Bernemann of Sodom just 2 hours ago at Metal-Invasion-Festival. He said that Sodom and Andy would like to do something together again in the future but they didnt get a request for the 2014 Cruise yet.

Doesn't he just ring Nuclear Blast once a year and ask "So, what bands are free for four days?"
