I will be wainting until Nov18-20th.

Total silence = 100% chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
Just the Kamelot Replacement = 98,76% chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
few subpar bands = 94,43% chance of cancellation chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
few bands I like(2 or 3) = 22,43% chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
    more bands(at least 5)... = I am in

The only band I am hanging in is: Dark T.

I just bought another house and I could use the money to buy a sink, tub, etc....

I went from apathetic... To annoyed, to angry.... To confused.... To now worried about the health of our chances of this all panning out... I'll give it till after this coming week before dread sets in. I won't be cancelling until of course the entire thing does.... :givebeer:

Anyone have insight to scheduling ports and cruises?
Maybe it just takes a while to finalize everything.

I've never looked at this site before, so out of curiosity took a look at the January schedule for Majesty of the Seas - for the 70K dates, it states "no information available." http://ships.cruisett.com/schedule/Roya ... uary_2014/ I did not take the time to look into who runs this site and/or the authoritativeness/accuracy/completeness of its information. I'm not going on 70K 2014, but for those who are, has anyone called or thought of calling Royal Caribbean itself?

I called Royal Caribbean today, and they said that they have the charter booked, and nothing has been said about cancellation.
Here's a link to the Majesty Of The Seas January 2014 schedule. There is the 5-day span for 70000tons still open.

It must suck to write those e-mails. From what I've heard, Andy doesn't share much plans with the rest of UMC, so maybe they are as in the dark as we are. That or they have the instruction of NOT sharing information until it becomes official, so they have to write e-mails like this one. It must be terribly frustrating for them. :? :?

That being said, it seems "on the horizon" and "on a later date" have become "very soon". Does that mean anything? Probably not, but we can hope.

Total silence for 4 whole months. No acknowledgement of why, with a slap-in-the-face "Sailors! It has been a while..." to top it off.

Then, 11 posts in 19 days during the voting process.

And now - nothing for 12 days and counting.

I'm not sure what it is :? Is it arrogance? Is it ignorance? Is it pure blind faith in the product (70k) being so good that the thought is that it can just be 'phoned in' with the least effort possible in order to maximise profit?

Whatever it is, its not working. Instead of the excited anticipation of previous years I'm left feeling a little stressed and a lot nervous

You know Andy has sat back and heard us yell ... Best cruise ever, it doesn't matter what bands he adds, we'll be there, it's about the fans not the bands, and so on and so forth for 3 years now ................... maybe he is testing the theory (in my defense) I have been on every cruise and all have been great, I am confused and worried, but I believe we have brought some of this upon ourselves.

Is it right ( Hell no ) is Andy in trouble? (I have a few personal worries on this, I feel the Allison, Blake departure may play in this) I won't go into details, but think about it.

Until they say this won't happen, I WILL BE THERE. Faith in a good product is all I have, and so far have not been disappointed. :beerhorns: :givebeer: damn I need more beer.

The thing that bugs me the most is the "non-info". If there at least were a reasonable stream of some kind of info at all on the website I would be a lot calmer. The total silence is very irritating and only brings bad moral. I am certain this will straighten itself out and become a fantastic voyage. That being said I am also pretty certain I will not book 70k again.. unfortunately.

So another month of no-announcements comes to a close. Historically a quiet month so taken in isolation not a big deal, but when combined with the 4 months of non-announcements preceeding it..... :P

Anyway - what has the past given us in November?
    2011 cruise - Voivod
    2012 cruise - no announcements
Barge - about 40% of the lineup :P
2013 cruise - Evergrey, Tiamat, Arkona, Unexpect

blind bookings won't be happening in 2015 if the cruise happens. As Marlo said, I don't care if it is BARGE to HELL, I will go to some fests over seas with my $$$

Do you really have faith on an announcement tomorrow? Jeez, you're optimistic.

I dunno. I have a feeling we will have SOMETHING in November. Maybe a noannouncement? Perhaps even a band!

The final flurry of announcements for Barge started on 2nd November last year (leading to 15 bands being announced that month!), and TYR were added on Oct 30 last year.

So recent history is in our favour!!

Looking on the brightside, if we don't get anything in November....we will definitely hear something either the month after, or the month after that!!!  :|

Caitlin has been floating around on the forum today - she never posts, but hopefully she is at least seeing enough to relay to "management" the rather depressing nature of things around here

Neither Andy nor Aaron have logged into the forum in two weeks though - those guys seem to be the only two that do anything so we are not going to get any joy until we see either of those guys online again.
