Metal Archives lists 50,788 active metal bands, so there really isn't any need to fill half the lineup with repeat acts. And sure, not everyone has been on all previous cruises, but I'd say something like half of the cruisers have been on at least two previous cruises (70k or Barge).

This is what I have a problem with. Cool, giving some unknown or up and coming bands a chance to play the cruise. And what do you announce? A repeat.
I'm fairly sure the next announcement will begin by saying how customer requests are taken seriously and how only the most requested bands will get a chance to repeat - and announce Blackguard.

Well, to be fair, lots of people were asking specifically for Cripper.
    70K 2013 SURVIVOR (Cabin 2120)
    70K 2014 SURVIVOR (Cabin 2565)

    In perpetual post-cruise depression/pre-cruise anxiety.

Doing my best to be there for 2015.

Yeah the first time they played it was "give up and coming bands a chance". This time it was "wow hundreds of people really want this band back". We'll get some other new ones too don't worry ;)

FYI everyone, if Uli Jon Roth gets announced and one person complains, I'm going to cut them. I don't care how many bands we already have from the 2011 lineup. You've been warned :P

I did not see Cripper on the first cruise. Why? Because there were so many great bands onbroad I was running from stage to stage and just could not see them all!
    Oh for that problem again.
I will see Cripper this time.

Sometimes I visit two gigs of one tour because I love the bands and I have fun on the shows. I don't just visit concerts to fill my checklist of bands I have already seen.

But btw I was to a DEATH to all show in Hamburg on Monday. Believe me that would be a great announcement! :deathmetal: :deathmetal: :deathmetal:

    Fuck yah!

Watching Cripper from the hot tub with a morning tropical drink was awesome!

Please contact Ted aka Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone and see if he wants to repeat that EPIC special set at Wacken 2004. He was backed by Satyricon and they played Darkthrone songs (after Satyricon's set) What a night that was.

Everybody has a band or two that makes the cruise 100 percent better and this is it for me ,I never dump on any other band because all shoes don't fit all feet but I feel some much better between The Haunted and Satyricon this week. You can announce twenty something more weenie bands and I wouldn't care now.

Still another 25 bands to go.

I'm certain there will be a few more weenie bands before we are done.

So far at the 16 band announcements mark this is a great cruise and I will have the same problems as I did earlier cruises .Two good bands playing at the same time ,if there where 40 bands I liked I have to miss half of them.Unless you have a real narrow range of heavy metal you like ,you always find something to check out on the boat.I definitely have to meet some people on this forum ,the waiting this year has been a bonding experience ,along with trying to keep people's spirits high.
