Solid announcement. I'm still rejoicing from the Nekrogoblikon one (and trying to figure out their songs on guitar; they may need a second guitarist to fill in ;-))

As for 'Somewhere far beyond'. . .very wishful thinking there ;-)

I don't see anything until April for them. I could easily be wrong though.

Seeing the first pictures on Facebook already makes me sad for not becoming a five-timer. Feels like the whole class is going on a school trip and I'm the only one who's grounded :P

Have a blast my friends! I hope to join you again next year and perhaps see you on some summer festivals

If one considers their entire history & discography, I wholeheartedly consider Dimmu Borgir a hugely important, influential, awesome & "real" black metal band through & through. I admire them for pushing the boundaries of what "black metal" could & can be....for example - introducing symphonic elements, creating high production videos beginning several years ago with Progenies of tbe Great Apocalypse http://youtu.be/joEAb_y7ZYA and more recently performing with a full orchestra in Oslo last year to celebrate their long history.

Ok - disclaimer - I'm a gigantic fan of Dimmu Borgir ever since I first heard & saw them several years ago....one of those metal bands like other top favorites of mine Opeth, Enslaved, Kvelertak, Satyricon, Behemoth, Tyr, Rammstein & Gildenlow/Pain of Salvation that can do no wrong... :P (i.e. it's all perfect)
