Laura wrote:I know of three for sure because they posted as such on the FB forum fiends group: forum member evican (roller derby queen & awesome gal from Australia) & Eternity (Daniel B) & his wife from Canada. Also, I believe Dallas mentioned a few other Australians who cancelled. Don't know if Finnish (Grumpy ) Markku was ever actually booked or not, but he bailed for 2014 & is going to MDF 2014. (which I hope transforms him into Happy Markku!!)

[...] I am sending this e-mail because I would really, really like to know the status in which the cruise is right now. Me and my friends are DESPERATE because we haven't had any news and we have a very long trip to plan. Plus most of my savings are going on this trip and we need to make sure it will be as good as other years. PLEASE, don't give me automated answers. I beg you, don't just tell me "very exciting news will come very soon" or this kind of automatic stuff you always write. I really need to know what is going on, WHEN are the next announcements taking place (seriously, please, no standarized answers...) and what kind of bands can we expect. I'm really crossing my fingers so that you don't just get a lot of "filling" bands because you couldn't get anything better. Once again, I'm begging you, as a customer of yours, for you to give me a valuable answer. Thank you very much in advance.
And got this reply today:
Thanks for writing to us!
We appreciate your concern and also understand your frustration.
Just to assure you, the cruise is absolutely not being cancelled.
We are working on getting band announcements up as soon as possible.
We have passed on your concerns to Management.

Well, I guess it's better than nothing...

I hope there are many bands for You Kate

I LOVE how they addressed your concerns, and gave you the personalised response you requested rather than some generic response.
Considering this is the reply I got from them to a similar email:

Pitiful. Disappointing.
But so was the customer service leading up to it.
The stupidity of having Barge in December (just before the Holidays...people can't take off from work at that time of year), just a month before 70000tons (people can't spend that kind of money 2 months in a row) was astounding. Now Andy is going to cry about it? It's completely his fault. If Barge was in September, October, April or May, it too would have probably sold out...or at least sold considerably better than it did.
Now he's proving once again what a lousy businessman he is. Even if he doesn't give a shit about us or the bands, he needs to at least pretend that he does. He's not going to have a very pleasant time on 70000tons with so many of us wanting to tell him a thing or two, and might as well not send any pre-booking announcements for 2015. I don't know of anyone who would take a chance with him again.
