I just read that there is a possibilty of a thunderstorm tuesday in miami. As long as it doesn't effect the show I think this would be both fitting and epic!

Just wondering where do we go once we get to the port of Miami? Do we go right up to the majesty of the seas to check in with our boarding pass? Sorry never been on a cruise so not sure how this works

I just realized....usually at these things, you just walk into a bush when nature calls. Hopefully having 500 people up at the pool stage and drinking beer won't cause a bathroom backlog.

I've never been either but I assume there'll be lots of signage etc indicating which ships are docked where. If you go to the Flash Mob thread, stoverkill posted a pic of the entrance to the port. Seems to be just one clear place to enter the building and then likely direction to a desk or terminal type thing from there.

The process is somewhat similar to getting on a plane, if you have the luggage tags on when you get there you give the guys your bags before walking in to the terminal, In the terminal is where you give them your passport, check in etc. From there it's smooth sailing

I'm not sure you can Rhia... Your carry on, yes but if you have a suitcase, I believe it goes through the same process as it would at the airport. They have (i think they're called) porters who bring them to your cabin.

Got here safely after 19 hours flying from Australia. Holy moly tired now though!

Got into Miami at 5pm. Group of 6 people in fronto of us in the taxi queue were wearingmetal gear so I reckon they were here for the cruise!!).

Checked into our hotel here at the Hyatt and then went to Bayside to have a look around and get some much needed foods!

Ate at Chilis - sooo very full now!!

And yay - helloooo america :headbanger:

    So say we all.

    :D

    Cannot sleep? Brekky time yet??

Cannot wait to get out there for our first 'real' day in America. Miami Beach? A 'mall'? Shopping downtown?

What to do what to do.

And yeah - 19 hour flight. 13 hours non-stop from Brisbane to LA, 2 yours to get through international customs, then walk straight from there straight onto the flight from LA to Miami.

I can't even sleep waiting for this cruise!!!! The only thing that would have made me more psyched is if they booked GWAR. I know the cruise would never but they are my favorite band by far.

BSG had one of the most satisfying series finales that i've ever seen. what a great show, one BSG shirt is in my suitcase too.

Loving Miami - heading out to dinner downtown shortly.

Slept to midday and went out to Dadelands Mall for some shopping. Holy crap the prices here!! Bought two pair of jeans for $20 each - honestly they would cost near $100 each in Australia.

Anyway, having lunch at the food court there, and the cleaner comes up to me (me wearing an EDGUY shirt). Anyway, he says to me "wow you here for that metal cruise?"

hehe - hell yes I reply. Then he tells me about a great show featuring a heap of bands downtown tomorrow night.... the pre-show :headbanger:
