I don't know who this is, but they MUST be booked for the lineup! I don't give a damn how hairy they are. Book these MF'rs!

So far, I think the line-up is great! I'll lose my shit if they add Kamelot and then some heavier stuff like: Meshuggah, Behemoth, Immortal and Dark Tranquillity \m/

3 Inches of blood being included would definitely be a plus!

I just don't get the attraction with these guys. They're from here and I've gone to a couple of their gigs because some great local bands were opening for them and both times the openers got the room just pumped and then 3"of? come out and put on the most boring sets I've ever been subjected to. No stage presence. No connection with the crowd. Totally mechanical. But all the fans flooding the stage just eat it up. Their studio material is decent enough and good for the style it is but I don't know. Something about them just falls way flat for me and I don't see how they attract so many fans. Just another matter of varying tastes I suppose. If I was going to post an entry to the 5 popular metal bands you hate thread, these guys would probably lead the charge.

I've seen three inches of blood 4 or 5 times, and every time with a different line-up.

I will say that their newest lineup has a very mechanical presence, yes, however four or so years ago it was a different story.
I can recall them pulling me up on stage and "knighting" me with a sword! haha

Speaking of which, is the ship still anchored near SF Bay? I sure hope they pick up some more bands down there then head North up the coast to pick up a couple from Seattle and Vancouver.

California - Suicidal Tendencies, Armored Saint, Forbidden & Exodus... As well, some big name, potential headliners also come from that area so there's a small chance of one of them being named. Also I wouldn't mind a total shocker like Ratt or some other glammish band just to widen the spectrum of diversity.

Seattle - Nevermore/Warrel Dane, Melvins, Queensryche(less likely I know), Tad, A.I.C., (these 2 are way more grunge than metal I know but heavy enough for me to enjoy if any were to make the trip).

Vancouver - Mendozza, Bison, Golers(I realize these 3 are highly unlikely due their being relatively unknown internationally but a guy can dream), Devin Townsend Project and, of course, Nickleb... JUST KIDDING!!!!
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

Vancouver - Mendozza, Bison, Golers(I realize these 3 are highly unlikely due their being relatively unknown internationally but a guy can dream), Devin Townsend Project and, of course, Nickleb... JUST KIDDING!!!!

Man, that was a cruel joke  . Wouldn't mind Nevermore though! :headbanger:

Speaking of which, is the ship still anchored near SF Bay? I sure hope they pick up some more bands down there then head North up the coast to pick up a couple from Seattle and Vancouver.

I agree. AUTOPSY & NEVERMORE and then get over to Sweden, England & Holland and load it up with death metal . :deathmetal: :deathmetal: :deathmetal:

I can't say there is any Canadian band that I enjoy. I like Canadians, just not hockey or their metal

There's a couple good Canadian bands: Divinity, Devin Townsend, Into Eternity, Augory, Quo Vadis, Blackguard, etc.

Don't know if you've heard all those guys. But I agree with you in a sense, there's just not as high a frequency of killer bands from up here compared to alot of other countries.

Devin is good, not one of my favorites, but good (I did forgot about him). Most of the Canadian bands I think of are from the northeast and all aped the Suffocation sound or some shitty conglomeration of core/slam/boring technical bullshit.

I won't hold it against you though. All you CA's are just too nice

Yeah most of the metal comes out the east in the Montreal area; there's a huge death metal scene there. (And a lot of crap bands too..)

If you like kind of proggy tech death stuff at all, definitely check out Divinity (from Calgary).
Their new album is really good and they are super nice guys.
Also, their lead guitar player was kind enough to lay down a wicked solo on our upcoming album.

JUST KIDDING!!!!

oh yeah thatas you that likes bison BC. Just saw them at a little place in santa cruz. they were on a horrible horrible ticket with High on Fire. They played first and were the only bearable band of the evening IMO.

For me if just EXODUS gets on before the ship leaves our bay I'll be OVERJOYED. Top five for me and NEVER miss their live shows. Okay that a lie i missed one once ;)

Is it hard to stomach Dukes doing the old material? I don't like his vocals on the new stuff, so I can only imagine it would be hideous for the Zetro/Baloff tunes.

If Skipper Andy really wants to flex his MOJO, he'll get Zetro to come back and perform 1 whole set. This way we can skip the set they do with Dukes.
