Haha - Dallas - you crack me up (in a good way) cuz I'm doing the same thing (in my head) as you, since like you, I've (fairly firmly) decided to skip 70K 2015. In short, no love lost on this line-up so far. Somewhat odd for me to say this perhaps, but I don't think there is any one metal band (or group of metal bands) that could be announced for 70K 2015 that would make me say - "I MUST book." (wow, did I just say that?) Perhaps I'll ramble on further about that later on - on the metal fest future thread on the Engine Room forum.

It blows my mind that some people don't like BG. I think that's on par with disliking Maiden. The uniqueness, diversity, skill, innovation and songwriting with BG is amazing.

I guess any death metal fan could say the same about bands like Morbid Angel (up until, say, Gateways to Annihilation) or from a bit more modern style, Hail of Bullets. The vocals, the sheer heaviness of the music - what's there not to like? So, yeah, while I don't hate BG or their music, they just aren't my pint of ale. To me they (and most melodic metal) are kind of like traditional brown ales - while they taste ok, I want some punch and hoppiness in my ale, so I go for the more extreme IPAs.


Dammit, now I want a beer.

MAGNUM - if they are added to the lineup I will go. No question.

Within Temptation, TEN, Amaranthe, Battlelore, Thaurorod, Van Canto, Powerwolf, Pythia, Living Sacrifice, Believer, Tourniquet

BANG. ON. With Magnum - they are really advanced in years now so I really cannot see them touring for any longer than another few years. I HAVE to see them live again.
Van Canto - yeah I'll be upset if they are on 2015, but they are a very young band so there will be other opportunities to see them I'm sure.
Revamp - Not really. Not a MASSIVE fan of their work, and I've already met Floor so that 'hook' isn't there. They would be a two-setter for sure, but not a "SHIT I HAVE TO GO NOOOOOW" band if added.
Tarja - would love to meet her, but seen her live a bunch of times with Nightwish (and her solo work is not a patch on her work with Nightwish). Plus - don't really see her being one that would do 70k.
