I was not there in 2013 nor 2014, but, especially last year, 6 months without any announcements... I would have drive from Montreal to Vancouver to have a chat with the skipper...

...However, it was noticed that there was a rise in misbehavior. Things like puking in a hot tub, getting glass in the pool, or other things that ruin it for others are unacceptable.

People want the respect level to stay as high as it can on a boat full of drunken metalheads.

Yes above reply covers most of culture change but I add a couple of things.So I had an encounter with one particular idiot who was drunk.He basically was on the cruise to get drunk and had little interest in any of the bands.He said he liked mostly eighties bands of the more pop metal variety .This cruise was great in the beginning because it bought bands that seldom or never play the States.I don't mind people having fun but the mix of the cruise is off for me now.The bouncers on the last cruise are added to the problem.During Symphony X show in the chorus line a guy can close to be beaten severely.In 2013 the bouncers attacked a man in the elevator,I saw him come up beaten badly.And there is the Calvin factor ,a whole story I glad I didn't even come across last year.Hopefully the old cruisers coming back and a new boat will be beneficial to the cruise but the chance of a disappointing line up and the change in the marketing of the cruise might mess this up.
