Must be a few people dropping out.

Interior K quads (the $666 cabins) have became available again.

So too have the Ocean View I doubles.

LOTS of available cabin categories at the moment. Maybe some of us will get free upgrades for xmas?

If we are to get a '10 bands of christmas' then you would imagine it would have to commence Monday.

Monday being the 14th, a band a day would then take us through to the 24th.

As far as past history goes regarding announcements around this time of year:

2011
Announcements on the 14th of December (Dusk Machine) and 24th of December (Destruction and Malevolent Creation)
2012
13th (Exciter), 17th (Annihilator), 21st (Channel Zero) and 25th (Kataklysm)
2013
18th (Delain and Heidevolk), 20th (3 Inches of Blood), 21st (Onslaught)
2014
24th (Raven, Orphaned Land, Rising Storm)
2015
17th (Pretty Maids, Destruction), 18th (1349), 19th (Trollfest), 23rd (Refuge)

So 2014 cruise is the ONLY year we've never had an announcement from the 14th-20th of December.

Yeah me too. Honestly I think they will probably be 50% 'cripper award contenders' though. Which is probably being generous, as this year it was over that for the remaining 20 - mainly unknowns with three 'bigger' bands (Wintersun, Corrosion of Conformity and Soulfly).

I'm not really in the mood for bitching because the lineup is absolutely epic so far and I could live with only these 40 bands. But it is also kind of disappointing having to wait so much for the final 20... come on Andy, you were doing so good, keep the bands coming!

Yeah I'm happy. I'd just love to see the wife get one more band off her wishlist.

She was bitterly disappointed with this year's lineup, and while 2016 is vastly better it would be nice if she could at least get one more.

So come on Andy - Pathfinder, Ancient Bards, or Thaurorod would please Mrs Statsman no end!!

Or Dragonland or Gloryhammer or Twilight Force.

Or Orden Ogan.

Or Kaledon.

Or Evertale. Or Unleash The Archers.

If you want Ne Obliviscaris on the boat, then you should call UMC and let them know because they are already going to be in Florida the week of the cruise (on tour with Cradle) and haven't yet been invited on broad. Seems a cheap add and a no brainer since a lot of you want them.

Boggles my mind that they haven't been asked yet! Hopefully they are just playing along, I will be pretty surprised and disappointed if they aren't on broad......Definitely seems like a no-brainer for sure!

My guess and hopefully is that Andy begins the next round on Wednesday on the 50 day mark, seems ideal and logical to me!

On band each on the 16th, 17th, 18th. Saturday and Sunday no band announcements. Then one band a day from the 21st - 24th. Then a Merry Christmas 3 bands announcement on Christmas Day!

Just a friendly courtesy, announcing that you think you have guessed UMCs logic on the official UMC forum is a terrible idea and you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Not bitching, but I see this every year and it always ends the same. I'm happy that we actually have 40 bands at this time. Especially considering the the original cruises had 40 bands. To me we have a full lineup better than the 2013 and 2014 lineup and everything else announced is bonus.

Yeah it's a way to kill time and keep the chatter going, but anyone who takes the guessing seriously is gonna have a bad time!

That said, I predict we get NOTHING at the 50 days left mark.

I just went back to my stats. Comparing how I feel about this cruise to previous cruises.

Rating each band out of ten:

2016 - 212/400
2015 - 197/600
2014 - 203/410
2013 - 161/410
2012 - 151/420
2011 - 157/420

My two best lineups are your best and worst it seems. I still think 2012 had the best lineup so far, but Andy's got 20 more slots to make this a better one. More girlie bands, more old school death metal and more doom metal. Shouldn't be too difficult.

It seems I'm still the only one who thinks this year's line up will never be beat, mostly due to that final band that none of us were really expecting.

i think this year could be nbr 1, the line up is good so far, depends on the other 20 bands....
pro rata i think 2013 and 2012 were the best line ups for me, with turks and caicos as destination,
hopefully we will have some more great announcements....
can't wait for february.

It seems everyone have a different way to qualify each line-up presented.
Over 40 bands, is it better to have 20 good bands over 40, or 35average. The answer might be different from each one.

If a good band has 8 over 10 ; and an average has a 5 over 10, you'll get :

20 * 8 = 160 over 400.
35 * 5 = 175 over 400.
