I feel the same way - the longer the initial announcement takes to come, the less time there is between then and the set-sail date
Also if I'm going to go in 2017 it will have to at least in part be covered by whatever tax refund money I get, and I wont get that until mid July.

My problem is that I already have received my tax refund money. The longer the delay, the greater the chance that money will be spent on other things.
