Not into industrial metal either, but they're also in my top 5 or so live acts ever.

On the other hand, a lot of people are saying Ghost Ship Octavius is a good discovery and I truly hope you guys aren't as disappointed as I was with them. Worst live act I saw all of last year. Zero stage presence, zero energy. Opposite for Trollfest - too much energy and incredibly sloppy playing; have seen them a few times now and they're some of the coolest guys I've ever met but I won't be caught dead at their live show.

Haggard was pleasantly surprised when I checked them out. Looking forward to seeing how they are live. Bring mostly a thrash and death guy its nice to find bands outside of that.

I see a lot of Manegarm, they are definitely awesome, I discovered them last year when I had to review an album and an EP of them. They are insane.

My biggest discovery this year is Amorphis. Damn how could I have never heard from these guys.

Aside from you, I have heard good things about GSO live. I don't really see them being the type of band that I'd expect a lot of energy from. More of a dreamy/atmospheric type of melodic band. I seriously doubt I will be disappointed just from the musicianship that will be on display. As an example, Opeth is always amazing to me live, regardless of what they play. And in seeing them 18 times now, I don't recall them ever being highly energetic. Still amazing to see them play every time.

Seconded. Haggard is the best live band I've ever seen. So if anyone gets to the front row before me, save me a spot. I'm short, you'll be able to see over me, it's all good.

I hadn't bothered to listen to Haggard before today...they're amazing! Really kicking myself for not checking them out sooner.

Been listening to a bit of Kalmah this morning - another of the bands I knew of, but havent listened to much. Really liking it.

Omnium Gatherum on the other hand..... remove the GRRR RAAAH!!! vocals and they could be an 80s synth pop band :P
