    Poker players?

    by Malaka » Mon Aug 23, 2010 1:54 am

Roll call for the on-board Poker tournament! I certainly hope we get at least 5 tables in on this. Anybody know what the buy-in and payout/prize is? Will there be more than Texas Hold 'Em? Perhaps a "dealer's choice" tournament or at least Omaha would be fun! :ugeek:

Also, will there be craps on board? If so, you guys may want to follow me, we're all coming out ahead.

I play hold 'em but don't expect to on this trip unless there's actually an organized tournament involving fans and artists at a time when no bands are playing, but I doubt that will be the case. I can play poker here in town anytime I want so wouldn't go out of my way to do so on vacation unless I was in Vegas or Monte Carlo or something :D
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

I like poker, rarely play it (since I don't have a group of people who are into it), but I REFUSE to spend $$$ playing it. Gambling is not my thing. I rather spend it on pizza, burritos (Chipotle DEB!!!), video games and music CD's.

When the wife and I went to Vegas years back, we spent a total of $50 between the both of us on gambling. I'd much rather go to dinner, see Cirque du Soleil or ride The Big Shot with my money.

I'm always up for a game where you play with "change" (quarters, nickels, dimes, pennies) :P

I've played my share of poker. Not sure if I'll get any time in the casino but if some games and drinking were going on, I could be down.

Slaytanic... would love a good poker game... as long as the time is right.

I think it would be fun to play with some of you and at the same time band members... at like 2-5am chillin' and drinking. Would be a lot of fun to do for one of the nights

You can teach me craps! I've always wanted to learn but anyone I go to a casino with (which isn't too often) does not know how to play. I know it is one of the 'main games'. I'm a roulette man myself, live and die by the wheel!

We will def do some craps! Maybe we can win back our cruise cost! :heavydrink:

If LOG came on this cruise, John Campbell would definitely be playing poker with us!! Probably win too... haha

Yep, and Anthrax too! Scott Ian plays in the WSOP every year. He's fairly good too!

And I found out that (I think, according to Royal Caribbean's website) the Texas Hold 'Em tournament is a $50 buy-in, and is tentative based on number of entries. So they may not have one if no one signs up. :|
But the casino will still be open.

I think Tim know what you meant.... but that was hilarious!! haha!!!

Slaytanic - I think I'd be willing to put up 50 bones to play some poker. All we need is 20 bodies for $1,000 pot.... wonder what the payouts are and how many would... probably decide closer to the game.

We can at least set up a 2 person game.... who else want to play some poker (if there's time)?? WHAT SAY YOU?!?!??!?
