It's a bit of a shame, really. I spoke to a few people at ProgPower USA who had been highly interested in booking when public sales started, but who have since made other plans with the money they had saved up.
I'm sure the last few (?) rooms will sell eventually, but like a few others have said, the entire thing IS a bit....deflating.

With the delay in even announcing any more bands, I'm starting to think that our upcoming "B" band will not be Borknagar -- despite the print ad listing them for 70K -- because something may have come up. If so, it would be a double loss to us fans Stateside.

I was really hoping for Borknagar because of the ad, or Belphegor for that fb post they liked.

Not sure if it is a bit late for posting wishlists, but here's the one I have on top of my head right now: Akercocke, Belphegor, Borknagar, Candlemass (playing Nightfall), Iced Earth, Katatonia, Moonspell, Municipal Waste, Pallbearer, Shining, Voices (same drummer as Akercocke, so both would rule)

So far I'm pretty stoked for Enslaved and October Tide. It will be nice seeing Kreator and Obscura for a second time as well

I'm thinking that NeO took themselves a bit off the festival market by touring the US. Short of a special set or something, Australia is a long way to pay for a band to come from when they've been actively touring here.
That said, I'd have loved to see them announced. I counted at least five other NeO shirts at PPUSA this year, in addition to my two.

I was actually hoping for Aeternam, because I know they're on Glenn's radar, he likes them a lot, and they've made it clear that they cannot tour and can basically only play one-off festival gigs.
Oh, well.

I'm not too sure about that. Even with Mike Portnoy's name and influence behind it, the Progressive Nation At Sea cruise failed. I doubt a Dream Theater-headed cruise would fare much better.
