To my surprise, they are actually more than decent! Will try to catch at least some songs on one of their sets.
See? You should always follow my advice

First TPH, now you. What is there about this band that I don’t get?
I guess the only way to answer this is for me to see them live, preferably with a bottle of White Zinfandel.

I'm with you. Like musically I get it, but the vocals RUIN it for me in the songs I could listen to before I had to shut them off.
Phoenix wrote:Just confirming what we all pretty much knew, but Insomnium IS in fact planning to do a Winter's Gate set on broad. And they posted a 70k exclusive shirt design to boot. So I'm dancing in my seat today

The clue could be Behemoth, but they’re rumored both in and out, so I’ll guess Belphegor, that was also rumored in.
Ethrivas wrote:Be'lakor or Brymir would be the best options for me.
I am also fine with Behemoth.

Razor Ramon wrote:Better be Borknagar. And fuck Behemoth, band that tours the US on the regular VS band than never comes to the US, yeah, I'll just see Behemoth when they come back on tour.
Phoenix wrote:I've noticed that, since the fiasco with the Cripper award last year, Andy has avoided directly pointing out Cripper bands this year. But based on the numbers, looks like our lesser-known (or perhaps lesser-listened) bands this year so far are:
Aeternam - 10,146 last.fm listeners (on the cusp)
Evertale - 2,397 last.fm listeners
Gyze - 3,722 last.fm listeners
Internal Bleeding - 8,509 last.fm listeners
Seven Spires - 553 last.fm listeners
Witherfall - 1,428 last.fm listeners
Thanks to the people who compiled bodomdragon's spreadsheet for the easy referenceThe next highest amount of listeners is Triosphere with 19,677, so a pretty clear gap in there at the moment.
Not that these are Cripper candidates by any means, I just like data.
bodomdragon wrote:Personally I'd take that list minus Aeternam. Just my thoughts. Let's reach an agreement and I will add cool charts focused on the Cripper award contenders

Or it could be Brutality. They are a Florida based death metal band.

One of those announcements would be DARK FORTRESS!

Playing the night before the cruise in Miami

They know their audience, to be sure. And yeah, that makes it seem a bit more likely.
It's also probably not Behemoth, taking a look at the news. Nergal just got charged with disrespecting Poland's national emblem, probably has to get that sorted out first.
