Agreed, the vocals are what I don't like.

But I already have more bands than I can realistically find time to see. Aside from my hope for one really stupid, go in circles hard party thrash band, which can easily be a Cripper, I don't care. Pile on the corny power bands and opera chicks.

For me it's mostly Ida's vocals. Her and Maggy Luyten are the best female metal vocalists with a bit deeper voice. No wonder Triosphere was my absolute favourite on the 2015 cruise as was Nightmare on last year's.

I'd be deliriously happy with Borknagar, just slightly less so with Behemoth, and just a bit less happy with Belphegor.

Based on the clue it could also be Brutal Truth IF they re-formed or something, but I doubt it.

I said Borknagar basically because they were leaked several months ago. I still wonder if they were "Candlemass'd" and removed from the lineup or if they simply posponed the announcement. We'll find out soon.

In general I agree with you, but there is something magic about Behemoth on the pool deck. If Behemoth were next, it would make me pretty happy.

I've noticed that, since the fiasco with the Cripper award last year, Andy has avoided directly pointing out Cripper bands this year. But based on the numbers, looks like our lesser-known (or perhaps lesser-listened) bands this year so far are:

Aeternam - 10,146 last.fm listeners (on the cusp)
Evertale - 2,397 last.fm listeners
Gyze - 3,722 last.fm listeners
Internal Bleeding - 8,509 last.fm listeners
Seven Spires - 553 last.fm listeners
Witherfall - 1,428 last.fm listeners

Those were my thoughts as well, though 5 seemed a little slim for a full list. Since like half the forum windmill slammed Aeternam onto their wishlists after Ruins of Empires came out it doesn't seem fair to make them a Cripper.
