Interestingly in this bracket, newbies out number the veterans 32 to 26, yet in the top 100 it is heavily in the other direction.

Also of note is that thrash is the most common genre here with 11 of the 58, with power metal just behind on 10.

Maybe because they've both played the boat before -- in Alestorm's case, relatively recently.

I'd still like to see pretty much every band in that Top 20.

I listed Amorphis because, even though I've seen them numerous times (including co-sponsoring them at ProgPower USA one year), I know their catalog really well and have NO problem with seeing 'em again.

Another fun little stat.

Sgt. B. is currently runaway leader for most requests! With 210 artists wishlisted so far :)

Coming in second is Hoppy McGee with 179 unique requested artists.

Both Alestorm and Amorphis are coming off of very heavy touring cycles where they have played pretty much everywhere, recently, and as such nobody is chomping at the bit to see them again right now, but they're still widely appreciated and respected, and would be more impactful when a boat appearance isn't accompanying a tour hitting everyone's home city. That's one of the gripes about this year, so many of the bands had just finished heavy US touring and were still fresh in everyone's mind.
