I wonder if this is what "open mic night" is supposed to be, or if that's just something separate altogether? Because if you could sing some songs with an actual band playing, even more kick ass! I know my girlfriend is looking forward to belting out some tunes for sure, so in the words of Ronnie James Dio, "look out!"

    bangers- AIR GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they have contests like the other cruise did that I was on. They had a Belly Flop Contest and shit.

They should have a "Outdrink Sodom" like they did at Wacken one year. That was so awesome :shred:

No thanks to Turbo Lover! The weakest Priest album EVER. I liked "Ram it Down" better!

Turbo had one good song, if I remember correctly.

Would be like someone doing a song from "Load of crap" by Craptallica

Off the top of my head I would try Jawbreaker or pretty much anything off of Defenders or Sin After Sin, or Stained Class, but the gentleman above was offering booze and I couldn't hardly pass up just trying, now could I?

I love how this cruise is months away and I don't even know if I am gonna get to go, but I already have so many damn plans.
Let us do the singalong. Think good and hard about which song it should be and when we sing it, perhaps some satellites from outerspace will pick us up and the dolphins will join in.

Apologies.... lack of sleep last night due to excitement!!!

I'm right there with you. Had NO IDEA this existed until Friday night and now I'm become totally consumed in it. It drives me crazy that I couldn't call them for more info since they are closed for the weekend. Feels like my compulsive nature and the "gotta find out all the info in the span on 15 minutes" wasn't satisfied.

I'm just hoping that none of use are setting ourselves up for disappointment and that we somehow have a "leg up" on snagging a cabin since we are constantly checking the website.

Same here. I actually emailed the site a couple weeks ago asking them if there was any way to make mine and my husband's dreams come true (haha, desperate) by giving me a head's-up on the general sale date. They were mega cool about it but just simply stated what the site states : "tickets on sale in the next few weeks". Good luck to us both.

Better hope the singer from Pagan's Mind doesn't end up playing on the ship and getting involved in that. He would kill everyone in the vocal portion. Believe me, I've seen it for myself :metalguy:

As much as I love King, the thing that drives me nuts about his live shows are that he plays the standard "hits" and songs he has videos for. Yeah, yeah I know, I'm not complaining about songs like Abigail or Halloween, But when he keeps pimping out "Sleepless Nights" and NEVER PLAYS "At the Graves" (of his his best songs) it drives me batsh!t crazy.

I can only imagine how many people would keel over hearing me shriek "Icy fingers, all over my hand" :headbanger:

Ironically enough before his back injury he announced he was going to be altering his setlist to include stuff he normally doesn't play, so I was pumped.

As regards to what songs he plays the same thing could be said about nearly every metal band these days.

It's been discussed a little in other threads but it's not really clear yet what opportunities will be available on board to make use of them. I'd like to believe that, if there's going to be any guitar clinic/jam session/open mic type events, that we'll be either encouraged to bring gear or informed of what will or won't be made available to passengers. I think the specifics of such ideas are still in the early stages for the organizers and more will be revealed as we move through the year.

Personally, I won't be able to stand being on something like this and not being able to at least go sit under the stars in the middle of the ocean and play some stuff for myself so, if nothing's provided, I'll have to bring something for sure.
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

Yeah... exactly!!! I have to be out there with the ocean! So, if guitars are not allowed, let's sing to the stars =D With a beer, of course ;)
