What can we bring on the ship?

    by vilesmile » Sat Dec 04, 2010 1:34 pm

I am so excited about this cruise and I am trying to plan what to pack.
Does anyone know if we are allowed to bring cameras and/or video cameras? If so, are there any restrictions on the type of cameras we can bring?
Can we bring our own computer on board? Will there be wi-fi access?

Can't wait to be in warm weather enjoying the best music ever! :headbanger:

Welcome aboard! This link will probably cover most of your questions.

    http://www.70000tons.com/faq.htm#info

I'm not sure about video camera restrictions, but I would imagine that you won't be allowed to record any of the actual band performances, but can record random antics from around the boat.
I should get around to updating my signature

Good question!! I'll look through the link also, thanks guys!
Even if it's possible to bring the laptop onboard and get some internet, I will NOT bring it with me! Hopefully this will be the first time in many years that I will be completely OFF LINE. Definitely no emails from work, no news about the economical crisis, unemployment rising or the bad results of my football team!! Just some sms to my daughters, hopefully with photos of daddy side by side with Simone Simons!!!! Hmmm, OK, for them to be happy, also some photos with daddy side by side with Marc from Epica and Vrett from Fnntroll!!!

About the cameras, Im gonna buy a canon EoS 550d with an 18-135 objective its a digital system camera for amateurs, so it would be banned right ? well fuck that I really wanna have some good pics for this trip if Im gonna come all over Sweden and spend a half year saveup payment on the cruise

I think the camera rule only applies to the concerts. Any other part of the cruise/Cozumel would be OK to have any kind of camera/video I would assume.

yeah please wear deodorant! This reminds me of when I saw Nevermore in October, there was this sweaty fat shirtless guy and he stunk so bad and kept crowd surfing (so gross) and then I realized I might be seeing a lot more of this on the cruise :| I really hope not.

^But keep in mind that using deodorant doesn't mean one has to pour a bottle of it on him. Some people seem to believe that the more you use a cheap deodorant/perfume the better they smell.
I'm allergic to certain fragrances, usually in perfumes and detergents. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one on board.

Alright funny  anyways ... FROM Sweden and I still wanna use a system camera, even in most Europe festivals they have decided that its allowed to use systemcameras, But of course Mr Big brother states have to be different. Long live Julian Assange!"

Just because all this rules it would be better to have the cruise in Europe next year

HAHA about Julian Assange, my friend on FB made a GREAT comment.

I posted a link toastory about his arrest yesterday for sexual assault. Apparently the "assault" was that he refused to use a condom once and used a damage one another time.

So my friend says: "So its assault because he let his WinkyLeak?"

Deoderant is useless... Anti-perspirant is where it's at (they all deoderize anyways..)

I've been using this thing called Dry-sol, completely eliminates pit sweat... good thing for concerts and meetings and stuff!

That clogs the pores though. You need to eliminate toxins from your body. Or at the very least all that power metal juice.

That clogs the pores though. You need to eliminate toxins from your body. Or at the very least all that power metal juice.

hahaha. No man, all that extra power metal juice gives me inspiration!

    Inspiration > perspiration.

I've got a detox plan for february or something... no more booze, smoking, etc. Must extend life!

Gotta make sure everyone is comfy! I haaaaaate it when I get all covered in some persons sweat at a show. Not fun haha.

That reminds me: at Blind Guardian over the weekend, this chick in front of me kept FARTING right into my little personal bubble. I had to move... it was so bad :?

At least the outdoor stage will be good for airing out!

Oh man, i just had the best vision about the cruise last night (no, it wasn't opium induced.. haha), I just got really excited thinking about this potential scene:

Night time, with calm waters and stars painted across the sky.
Main stage on the upper deck.
Watching a captivating performance by one of the cruise heavy-hitters.
Singing along, drinking beers with new friends.
Lights and sound echoing over the ocean waters.

HOLY FUCK. I must stop, I think I'm turning myself on.
