Me neither! But I would love to!
And here I thought you of all people weren't gonna cave.
Gee!
I would love to see Dimmu Borgir again but with ICS Vortex back in the band or some one who can pull off those amazingbleedingkyo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 1:34 am Dimmu Borgir or Dark Tranquillity would basically make the cruise for me
So....this might mean a D band from 2011, 2016 or 2018 perhaps.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 3:35 am Fun fact - this latest announcement has given us a complete set!
A repeat from every previous UMC cruise (except 2019 of course). Pretty fair feat to achieve that in only 13 announcements!
REPEATS
2011 Epica
2012 Candlemass, Moonsorrow, Venom
2013 Flotsam and Jetsam
BTH Kampfar
2014 Haggard, Leaves Eyes
2015 Einherjer, Origin, Wintersun
2016 Epica
2017 Einherjer, Haggard, Moonsorrow, Venom
2018 Leaves Eyes
heya
Either one would be a great addition. Dimmu especially since they would not be a repeat.bleedingkyo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 1:34 am Dimmu Borgir or Dark Tranquillity would basically make the cruise for me
THIS. 1,000% THIS.alex_canada wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:13 pm I've been muttering for several years that the next 70k would be my last, but I think this year it's finally hit home that I need to take a breather (after all ten!) because I see such a disparity between my reaction to announcements and others' reactions. I think it's just a function of taking all that 70k has to offer. Not dumping on 70k since I'll still have a great time, but it's definitely time to diversify a bit; I know other vets are feeling that pretty hard right now too.
I definitely wouldn't be feeling this way if we got some new blood or bands on the upswing. I feel like that happened a bit last year, but there's no trace of it for 2020. He's at the mercy of touring schedules I suppose.

Start with Devin Townsend's - Ocean Machine record.Jotunheimr wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 8:31 pm I’ve never listened to Devy. Which albums should I check out?
I took my break this year, needed it. 2020 is going to be a trial to see if I feel the same about it. I feel like I mostly just party with friends and don't watch bands much anymore. Between the cruise, Fests and all the tour travel I do I've seen the bands I want to see so many times so unless its a favorite sometimes i'm just bored. Feel this way with a lot of shows in general but they are a lot cheaper than the cruise so I still show up to shows. I have fun its just the magic has worn off I guess.alex_canada wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:13 pm I've been muttering for several years that the next 70k would be my last, but I think this year it's finally hit home that I need to take a breather (after all ten!) because I see such a disparity between my reaction to announcements and others' reactions. Speaking of Las Vegas......ha ha I made a Las Vegas playlist!!
Same. Having seen every one of my bucket list bands multiple times (except one...Sigh), I think it’s time to start diversifying my vacations.alex_canada wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:13 pm I've been muttering for several years that the next 70k would be my last, but I think this year it's finally hit home that I need to take a breather (after all ten!) because I see such a disparity between my reaction to announcements and others' reactions.
