Anyone want to wager a guess as to who Testament will bring along as their guitar player? Our friend Alex hasn't been touring with them.

That would be Alex Skolnick. The only reason he didn't tour with them last month is because he had prior touring commitments with his own band (Alex Skolnick Trio) during March that had been booked well in advance. The only reason I can see that Skolnick wouldn't play would be either from serious illness or him not being in the band anymore...that or he's afraid of boats

The tour with Megadeth came up last minute, so obviously he couldn't do the dates, so in steps Glen. Funny enough that he (Glen) ends up opening for the very band he was in not too long ago

Hell, they might have another album out by years end. Considering all the time they had between The Gathering and Formation, I'm sure they have quite a surplus of songs and riffs to get it done

That would kick ass but I sort of doubt it. They reaallly seem to be riding the wave of that album's success and, more and more these days, it seems that bands are aware that the money is in touring and merch and not in album sales. I hope I'm wrong but I'm guessing they'll be touring all year, breaking for the holidays and then setting sail with us in January. Maybe we'll get some new tune ideas worked out on stage just for our listening pleasure?

Well I only mentioned that since the band themselves have stated that they intend to have a new album out before the end of the year. I can only hope this turns out to be so, but even if they don't, I will still be super stoked to see them again

I would think if Alex will not be attending that Glen Alvelais...unless they have something up their sleeve that their not sharing.....interesting to find out....lemme ask my friend

Oops.....apperantly word has it that Glen will never be playing for Testament again....so I would say Alex for sure unless the Siberian Orchestra is still doing holiday stuff around that time...

You're getting your Glens confused. The Glen being mentioned here is Glen Drover, formerly of Megadeth and Eidolon, who filled in for Alex on their recent tour with Megadeth and Exodus.
