Yes, a request thread. But I'm pretty sure we agreed only to stop with the different national threads, not to request one specific band. And yes, I too think that single-band-request-threads should stop after this one. :lol:

Main reasons for me to post this:
1. Hail of Bullets is a killer band live and on record. If you don't already know them, do yourself a favor and check them out, you will like them. If you don't like them, well, you haven't listened to them enough. Do yourself a favor and go listen some more. Being into power metal might give one a handicapped parking permit but it does not make it ok not to like HoB.
2. Kevin. Our stroopwafel-devouring forumite seems to be on a mission to pimp HoB (to get some salmiak and hagelslag and stroopwafels), this thread might calm him down a bit. The mission, yes, is indeed for a noble cause.

And to everyone who thinks he/she knows better what is good metal, you're wrong. See reason #1 above.

I obviously endorse this thread whole heartedly. :lol:

I finally got a chance to see them at MDF and they simply ruled/crushed/destroyed. Some friends I was with who hadn't been exposed yet, really enjoyed them and are converts.

To me if you have ANY interest in death metal, this is an easy band to love. Great vocals, catchy songs, super heavy, awesome groove. I'd be surprised if someone didn't like them.

If they were booked I'd be happier than a Memnoch is a field of salmiakki. Yes we already have a Dutch death metal band in Pestilence. But let's face it, they don't even hold a candle to HAIL OF BULLETS. Which band has Ed Warby and Martin van Drunen in it ? Case closed/enough said.

I have confidence that ANDY/UMC is smart enough to realize their brilliance and satisfy our death metal needs at the same time.

Plus, I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE Blake/Allison that I won't make a single phone call prior to departure if HoB is booked. Think of all the actual time and mental stress you will be savin by not having to deal with me.

WIN/WIN scenario if I ever saw one :lol:

This is why I think HoB deserves a spot onbroad. This is the best death metal has to offer for fans of both old-school and modern death. Martin is by far the most charismatic vocalist in the scene. Catchy, yes. Songs like Ordered Eastward are "death metal hit songs". The amazing quality has earned them a spot in the front of death metal and thus "worthy" of the cruise.

So anyone not familiar with the band, do yourself a favor and check them out. You will like them.

Oh, Andy&co, you could always ask for a group discount for bringing Asphyx and The 11th Hour along. :mrgreen:

After all this talk about Hail of bullets, I decided to give them a chance. Unfortunately I don't really like them, but I only listen to melodic death metal, so I didn't expect any surprise

But I will gladly give my vote and hope they get booked so you guys can be happy :) Moonsorrow are on broad already, so I am not so picky about the rest of the bands :mrgreen:

That would be The 11th Hour. :lol:

But point taken anyways. That would be an excellent trifecta of bands to get. Martin is HoB/Asphyx. Ed Warby in HoB/11th Hour.

So you save space as well with repeated band members. But as much as I love all 3, HoB is still my main concern :heavydrink:

Thought I'd come along to back this thread up like a million percent!!!! HAIL OF BULLETS 2012!!!

I'd also like to lend my support for "economizing" and getting bands on broad that make use of members of other bands, i.e. The 11th Hour, Asphyx, etc. Maybe that's just a sneaky way to get more of the bands I like, but I never claimed it was an altruistic endeavor.

Holy has no idea what he's talking about Batman!!!!!! :lol:

Tortured agony would be a better description, in the most positive way possible. He has one of the most unique/brutal/best voices in the scene. There's a reason why Pestilence's Consuming Impulse was an all time classic & the follow up, Testimony of the Ancients ((he wasn't on it), sucked total balls (not salmiak balls mind you)

I just got both Hail of Bullets albums in the mail on Saturday. Going to open the first one "...Of Frost and War" first as it has 'my' song "General Winter" on it. :shred:

will let you know how much more I like them when I give these things some listens!! :deathmetal:
