- At The Gates pool deck (was having fun at the Cruachan pub set) - Sonata Arctica (clashed with Wolfheart which I loved, but I will always have a soft spot for old Sonata) 1. I stumbled upon the Cruachan pub set and loved it so much that I missed ATG, so I wouldn't call that a regret. 2. Sonata wa...
I'd assume 3 months before sail date. 10/7 probably?
I'd guess that no band (other than Great White) would even entertain getting booked for it. So Andy's probably just holding on until he can cancel without losing the reservation fee or whatever.
Something I'm curious about on a larger scale is how to handle metal shows, period, in the coming years. More than any other public even (discounting orgies and the like), the presence of a mosh pit and the constant screaming/crowdsurfing has to be incredibly conducive for spreading this kind of thi...
Is anyone actually doing this for the destination? I usually just step off the boat so I can walk around for a bit. I admit that Cozumel was the worst of my four trips but it didn't make me care that much.
Cruises attended: 4 (2017-2020) Shows attended: probably 160? Bands seen the most times onboard: Kamelot, Exodus were both 4 sets for me Number of times crowdsurfed: 0 Hours spent in hot tubs: ~1 Number of dinners at main dining room: I'd estimate 6 Number of times at Windjammer: easily 25+, more if...

I didn't read all four pages of replies, but there are two items marked 3. I corrected it. 1. The venue filler, but still more or less within the 70K budget/audience limits. Sabaton 2. A band probably no one else in this forum listens to. Reckless Love 3. A solid Cripper Award contender (if possible...

Also I logged in to RCs website and their names are actually listed, woah. Wait, were we sent our "cruise line" booking info? I didn't get an email. I didn't get any email, just went to RCs website and registered. It finds your cruise with your name and email basically. I'm having the same issue, d...

FWIW - I talked to a member of Powerglove after 2017 and was told that all bands get paid to be on 70k (though crews don't usually, maybe for Anthrax or Accept-stature bands.) I have no idea how much, but I sort of figured that a band of their stature would probably have paid to play onboard for exp...
Beast in Black
Turilli/Lione Rhapsody (Rhapsody of Fire works too, but preferably these dudes!)
Twilight Force is much bigger now than they were in 2016. Later that year, they released their second album and the Flight of the Sapphire Dragon video got great views for a newer band. I wouldn't be surprised if they got bumped up to 60-minute sets.
