I don't mind it with Edguy too much because that's just how Tobi is and he's such an excellent songwriter and singer. I really can't stand Steel Panther though...

I really don't care for Dying Fetus but the Line Up seems really well balanced so far, happy for those who wanted to see them. Regarding Equilibrium - I've seen them several times throughout Germany now and have never been disappointed. Only seen their first set last time because the second one was ...

Definitely plenty of precedent of bands playing Progpower one year attending 70K the following year: 2010 Progpower, Blackguard and Tyr were on 70K 2011 2011 Progpower Therion were on 70K 2012 2013 - Soilwork and Xandria played Progpower and were on 70K 2014 I didn't do an exhaustive search so may ...
So far they didn't announce a single band I'd care for and I do have a soft spot for Classic and even Glam Rock. I'm really surprised how bad their starting lineup turned out to be honestly.
I was one of the guys talking about how this years Cripper Award felt a little like a genre popularity poll because both Nervosa and Twilight Force seemed to have delivered fantastic shows and while I voted for Twilight Force (because I prefer Power Metal and don't care too much for Thrash) I would ...
Well Twilight Force was ahead some votes until Nervosa started their vote for us bullshit. With only ~200 votes total those few "fake" votes actually make a huge difference. I can only speak for myself here obviously, but Nervosa can fuck right off. I really hate that social media beauty ...
Unless things change dramatically, I'd give the award to Twilight Force this year. Nervosa should be excluded because of the reasons already mentioned. As for next year, as I suggested before I really think UMC should get involved. If only cruisers can fill the feedback survey - which makes perfect...
Yeah sending codes to everyone that was on board to vote would definitely be the best way to do it. With Nervosa sharing the link on their Facebook page urging people to vote, and them have 165,000 facebook followers, there would be chance that some of their followers would be motivated enough to c...
This years voting really makes me feel a little sad for the 2nd place, no matter if it's going to be Twilight Force or Nervosa. I didn't see Nervosa because I don't care for that kind of Metal, but it seems both bands did really good performances and the voting feels a bit like "do you prefer P...
Blackmore's Night would be killer announcement for me, would love to see but I highly doubt it's considered metal enough to be on the cruise. Would make for another perfect acoustic set in the Irish Pub as well
I didn't see anyone from Children Of Bodom on the cruise aside from onstage. So what is the story about Children of bodom? Where they being rockstars? I've heard people complaining about them. Any specifics? Jjust curious Aye I'd like to know as well. Had a beer and a longer chat with them a long t...
Alestorm Amaranthe Anneke van Giersbergen (don't care about what Band she's bringing or not) Avantasia Blind Guardian Civil War Devin Townsend (and he could do what ever he feels like as well - oh look there's Anneke onbroad so... ) Die Apokalyptischen Reiter Edguy Ensiferum Equilibrium Falconer Glo...
And last but not least. If Children of Bodom are going to continually act like dickheads on the cruise to both fans and stage crew(in particular Alexi) maybe it's time Andy tells them they are no longer welcome on the cruise. What happend there? Saw their complete 1st set and ~80% of the 2nd set and...
As an American I have always been glad that 70k made a conscious effort to avoid the "American" aspect of the global metal scene, which was always too punk for my blood. Here's a perfect example of why. Couldn't put it any better. When I read that gibberish about the missing evilness, blo...
That increasing "douchebag" element was missing from this one. AMEN!!! Aye I was really surprised how well everybody managed to behave this year. I didn't meet a single guy acting like an asshole the whole cruise while I seemed to spot one every other show last year. Wonder what happened ...
Fun idea - here we go: Eleven shows in 70K 2016: 1. The best party you had this year. The show that made you lose your mind. Mh close one, I have to go with the 1st Delain set simply for that "fuck yeah it's finally starting again"-feeling 2. The best performance. Twilight Force - didn't e...
Wow, I'm not really happy with that running order. Insomnium, turisas and Tyr all have really bad spots and especially Insomniums shows are at the worst times possible. Also I don't get why Moonspell would play the last pool set, but maybe they are hugher in the US?
