Sounds like your memory is a bit hazy. The film could be exactly like the book and you wouldn't know.
Anyway, I enjoyed it. Most enjoyable of the 3 for me. I'm waiting to see the entire series in one sitting. A mega marathon! I asked my favourite cinema in London about it, and they said they'll do it next Christmas.
