    Ebola Paranoia

    by domith88 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:31 am

I know this might sound a bit paranoid, but is anyone else concnered about the Ebola breakout getting really large and affecting this crusie somehow? Am I maybe just a little to paranoid? Man, I hope so but it is kinda freaking me out a little bit..

I am not worried about catching ebola or anything like that, but I am worried about having a flight canceled or whatnot because enough people thrash around shitting themselves in a panic.

I don't make a habit of rolling around in other peoples fecal matter so i'm not overly concerned.

As for the cruise those companies are crazy about preventing any disease from getting onboard. It will be screened thoroughly at the Ft Lauderdale port

Pretty sure it's too soon to get worried. It's 100 days away, by then it could be squashed, since Canada just shipped a trial vaccine over to concerned areas. If it works, we won't have anything to worry about. Of course if you're really worried, just don't share liquids with people that seem sick on the boat.

I work in the ER and in Florida, so I'll probably be the one to share Ebola on the cruise with all of you :P

Seriously though, we actually have an Ebola protocol, complete with an "oh shit" pager number we're supposed to call if we think someone might actually have it.
