Considering the predominant Dutchness of the announcements thus far and Andy straight up telling us the next band is thrash, Thanatos seems like a logical guess. Fingers still crossed for Testament though

Good point on Thanatos. That's a good guess as Stephan Gebédi was on the boat last year (not with a band unfortunately).

Only thrash bands on my wishlist are so unlikely its not funny (Believer and Living Sacrifice).

But who knows? The way announcements have been going I'll probably like whatever thrash band gets announced anyway

Being we haven't had an eighties band announcement and the eighties were the Birth of Thrash ,will this be the old band spot?Or has 70k cleaved off bands before 1990.Right now At The Gates (1!990) is oldest band, and MORC East booked quite a few of the eighties bands that would be 70k.

Dark Angel would be cool seeing they are working on an album. Maybe Viking too. Hoglan can play drums for both.
Darkness is working on new stuff with a new lineup too. Get some German thrash in here.

According to the Facebook ,70k is catching up with booking requests ,Epica and Silver booking got the requests flowing in.Next band with be late tonight or tomorrow (Friday),so it will be interesting morning.

Yesterday the first band announcement we got was at around 1:30 pm EDT... so like, 7:30 at night in much of Europe. The UMC office is 3 hours behind my time and opens at 10 am, so it makes sense that they will post the next one soon.

Of course I have today off and nothing better to do but keep checking.

could be Pungent Stench - but leaning heavy on Rotting Christ -

either way more repeats (like what 12 of the 20 now) I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I'd just like more new bands/bands that haven't played the ship before (I also know these aren't repeats for some of you)
