I'd really don't care at all what he'd perform, I just really want him onbroad finally
Here's the thing - I'm not a Devin fan. I've seen him live, he didn't do it for me. But I did enjoy the Ziltoid songs he did, because he did them with such gusto that I couldn't deny it was fun to watch.

Great! Also, welcome to the forum
Downvod wrote:Not sure what setting you saw him perform, but I will say that seeing him Headline in an intimate setting is way different than if he's in a support role. As an example, I saw him supporting Gojira and Opeth at Red Rocks, and it was nowhere near the electric experience of seeing him with his own show and crowd. The crowd interaction is a huge part of it. The Z2 live at Royal Albert Hall bluray is also must watch if you like the ziltoid stuff.

The idea that this guy signed up for the forum 6 minutes before posting that, and hasn't posted or logged in since, has me rather amused.

You got Dimmu rolled!!

I don't hate it, but I'm not a fan either. Someone said in fb it sounds like Sirenia without the female vocals
I think it has some industrial edge a la Samael. It is a weird song

I like it. Granted, it has lost any Black Metal influences that the band might have had in the past - especially in the most distant past- but if I play this without knowing which band it is, I would like it. In a way, to me it sounds like "Dimmu meets Epica".

If Dimmu is announced I will come next year for sure!

How would they compare to a Cradle Of Filth in popularity?
TPH wrote:I know this from a friend that I know I can trust: he saw them several times live, and Dimmu are just no good on a stage. No real energy, playlists that don't really work, etc.
On the other hand, it seems that Cradle Of Filth are doing better these last years, I wouldn't mind seeing them again, almost 16 years after the last good show I saw from them.

I saw Dimmu twice back in the early/mid 2000s and they were pretty disappointing live. Same reasoning as your friend. This was of course over a decade ago.

Your "reliable source that you're the one and only one to know" is totally uncheckable once the rooster is known; because of all the bands that begin with every letter you've told.

I don't win anything with this, I just shared it for the fun, so I honestly don't give a damn about my sources being "uncheckable" :)
Still, in case someone's curious, I'll let you know when the bands are announced. Someone has already done a good job guessing a few of them :)
